the visualization of the breath meeting the ground is not hocus pocus, it helped me so so much with body mapping and awareness. it is also going to help me so much with singing too, these are the best videos I have seen on youtube for flute!

As a singer, your video brings me so much joy. As a mum to my 9-yr-old flutist/flautist, this was exactly what I needed to help him as he does exactly what you described - breathing up in the neck/upper chest. Thank you x 1000000

Got it. Great. I am breathing in but I am not thinking about any specific area or trying to influence any area. I am just doi g what comes naturally. I am just relaxed and breathing in and letting g my body do what comes naturally. In other words. When I have run around and I am out of breath I dont start breathing more rapidly and thinking about my back, lungs, tummy etc. I'm just breathing normally. So basically every day we are breathing sought of shallow. When we are playing it becomes deeper to a degree. Thanks 😅😅😅

Thank you for the lesson. Just picked up the flute after many years and I have asthma. I am determined to improve my breathing. 🥰

Love this take on breathing, this type of breathing was named yogic breathing and it's very well known to extend our life-span 👏✨ definitely all of us on a regular should get breathing this way it's so much more efficient

Haha. That's not what it was "named". That's just what first world spiritual capitalist such as yourself call it. Pranayama might be the word you're looking for. I know that and am not even into the whole new age cultural appropriation stuff.
      Way to try though.

Hey there ma'am. I'm a very rank beginner to the flute and to music in general, and I'm liking what I've seen of your videos so far. If I may make one suggestion though, going through them I'd find it helpful if you labeled your Beginning The Flute videos in some kind of order to follow along so that I know what I need to be watching next. Right all I can do is assume I should be watching them in order by date?

There is a playlist on my page with does try to order the videos for beginners. I will update and post the link for you if I get a chance. I have not done a full beginner series yet but will hopefully get to this soon!

For me singing since I was a child, I breathe deeper.
