Oh dear, it's gone from a cold engine to boiling lava volcano lol. That multi hole gasket made me laugh, one gasket to fit all, or none :-D. More trouble :-(

Hi. my car is fiesta 1.25 2001 ghia and it runs jerkily. When I press the gas in the first start, it stops. but when it gets hot, there is no problem. What is the reason? can you help me?
Salut, j'ai eu 3 joints avec le thermostat pour ma ford ka , t'as de la chance 😅 . Bon que va donner cette suite de montée en pression comme ça... Défaut thermostat...? Sonde de température? Jdc...? La suite au prochain épisode! 😣
Salut, Le thermostat fonctionne il s'ouvre,la durite est chaude après le thermostat. Le joint de culasse c'est sur. le ventilo fonctionne ou pas, je sais pas la température est restée dans le "normal" avant que je coupe le moteur par sécurité. La suite si j'arrive à voir des pièces...il m'a fallu deux semaines pour avoir le thermostat.

Bon courage, j'ai le même moteur et...joint de culasse , ventilateur qui s'enclanchait plus . Par contre j'ai toujours pas trouvé la sonde de température et la revue n'en parle pas . Paraît il bien caché derrière le bloc moteur.
@@michaelovitch après vu le prix d'achat.. C'est pas énorme le prix de la rectif ni du joint distribution etc. C'est plus le temps à passer. Au moins on aura des vidéos 😁

Yes, a big wee,with the correct color lol I don't know,i've not let the engine exceed the "normal" temp erature range on the gauge,so maybe it was going to kick on. I can't tell for now,i need to test the circuit ,or maybe it's the ecu wich switch it on,i've not even looked at that yet.
@@jaggass Doing it yourself is the only way to save money,if you don't make expensive mistakes lol I can't pay peoples to do my stuff, id on't have the money to begin with. The last time i paid somebody ,i had a wheel backwards on my moped,and a cylinder gasket to replace a head gasket on my scooter...without knowing it while paying big money. Peoples screw you 70 % of the time i would say. same for plumbing ,electricity, etc...i do everything. lol
@@michaelovitch I once made sort of an expensive mistake years ago when i did the valve clearance on my MK2 Clio 1.6 RXE. I used a feeler gauge, manual but when i put everything back together it was running on 2cyl and sounded like a tractor i thought uh oh it doesn't sound good. I had it towed to my local garage said i had put the ht leads in the wrong order and valve clearances all wrong putting that right was cheap but having it towed was expensive and once fixed up the mechanic said to me don't worry we've all been there. Back then i thought i was a mr know it all but in fact i was a mr don't know it all. As i'm a bit older and wiser i read car manuals more carefully and get to know the cars i've owned or own like the palm of my hand so i know how everything works and when it comes to repairs. The only time i've ever took my current car to a garage which is a 2005 Toyota Corolla is for it's MOT which is equivalent to an annual inspection elsewhere. The car just keeps going
@@jaggass You can't learn without making mistakes,it's what indicating if your global method of doing things is good for your interests. I broke a camshaft in half on my first timing belt attempt. It was a very difficult one however lol
ce n'est pas un JDC , la voiture etait en bon etat de marche avant que vous changiez le thermostat , il fallait simplement purgé le system de refroidissement , mais jai vu aprés que vous avez déculassé quand meme , bon tant pis la culasse avait besoin d'un gros nettoyage . bon courage

My model is known here by Fiesta Street and came after your model. It's a very good car when well maintained. Good video series, makes me wish to have the time, tools and skills to maintain it myself.
The head gasket failed,or the owner failed at keeping coolant level correct. I don't know exactly,i think the head gasket failed,because no hoses were damaged, the cabin heater doesn't leak.no leak on the radiator also. corrosion damaged the head gasket maybe,old coolant do not protect against corrosion anymore,and becomes acidic if i remember correctly.

When my Puma climbed the temperature, was simply the heater control valve. Replaced it, drained the whole coolant, and fixed.
The Puma and Fiesta seem to have the same control valve,and problems : )
