    Jelle this was an awesome process to watch. So many cool tools to use just to bend these thick branches! Very impressive.

      You wanna play with big trees, you need to get some tools. At some point, only muscle power is not enough anymore!

    Jelle that was really very interesting. I learnt so many things in one video! There seem to be so many different approaches to the many styles of Bonsai. This heavy duty bending was scary but inspired. Well described and explained. New subscriber here. Thanks.

    It looks more like an engineering project than bonsai! Any chance I can convince you that you learnt your rafia from my video?? Great to watch and I am enjoying this sort of content a lot. Thanks, Xav

      Yes, you are right. Often is it is a matter of creating attachment points more than anything. I am pretty sure I recorded this video before you released your raffia movie my friend!

    I really love your channel sir because you give the information to be better at bonsai. I do have a odd question however. What would you say to someone that was thinking of doing videos on TH-cam but was afraid because they have a strong country accent? Sorry if that was odd and long.

    • @GrowingBonsai
      @GrowingBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, I would say.. Do you see my heavy Dutch accent stopping me?
      In the end, the information needs to be interesting. And if you are aware of an accent, put key-elements in texts in the video, or provide youtube with subtitles? More and more I am learning that the video should carry the story, and the narrative is an add-on.

    Hi Jelle, i realise that the wire you used on the trunk was copper but it looked like quite a light gauge do you have concerns over its capacity to hold the bend or are the guy wires doing most of the work?
    You acheived an impressive amount of movement, good work.

    • @GrowingBonsai
      @GrowingBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Andrew, the wire is purely there as anchor. All the bends are kept in place by the guy wires. Once I start styling the tree I will probably put a few screws in the trunk for the guy wires and remove the coils.

    Damn, good thing I saw how bad that dremel was struggling. I almost wasted money

      not really the machine that was the issue. I wanted to remove little material so had to use a cheap thin blade
