If you like Stroganoff try Hamburger Helper. Add a half onion or one small onion when browning the burger. Than add 1 to 2 Tbl spoons of Worcestershire Sauce. Surprisingly good. If you are reading this. I dare you to try this.

I'm sitting here in just aww. I don't really know what to say, the Biff stroganoff I learned to make it's not like the Biff Stroganoff you just ate. I know that it's a MRE, but what you said that it was with noodles and light, it did not remind me of Stroganoff? Must say that I'm from Norway and we make Stroganoff a bit different, but it amaized me that a dish can be so different. I use beef, champingon, onion, tomato pure, red bellpepper, sourcream, mustard, and seasoning it with salt and pepper. And serve it with rice or mashed potatoes. I know this is an old video so you are not likely monitoring comments anymore but I just chuckle when you talk about instant coffee reminding you of camping. I live in the PacNW, home of the serious coffee heads. When I camp I take a percolator and fresh ground coffee at the perk grind. Others take French presses or pour-over cones. I'm considered the weird one because I want to do something different. I have taken pride in my ability to perk a decent pot of coffee. None of us would have ever considered taking instant coffee. When I backpack I take tea bags. No coffee. Love these vids.
Tobacco? Surely a typo. How is it like condensed milk? (Goes well with everything? ) I'm among the minority of mild paletted people. Hot sauce hurts. If I had to pick one condiment, probably would be home made Italian dressing with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, fresh raw garlic, fresh herbs & sea salt. Maybe ketchup is what I would say is like condensed milk. People put it in or on everything & it's sweet & smooth & mild, like condensed milk. My thought is it's literally the mild condensed sweetened version of tomato sauce. But I know most people prefer spice.

Nothing could make the dehydrated meat edible. Now it is Tabasco Chipotle and Valentina sauce with the yellow label. I like it much better than Rooster sauce. I love your stream. As the great Julia Childs said, "I cut my finger off."
Getting an MRE with a chocolate sports bar in it was like finding gold. Loved those things. They also called them chocolate hooah bars and chocolate ranger bars.

The Cold Weather ration used to have white inner packages but since both rations have the same contents it was decided that it would be cheaper to just stick to one color.
The power bar thing reminds me of a candy bar you can get here in Canada called an eat-more just based off the look. The eat more is a soft bar of toffee with peanuts in it. I can't remember if you've had that in one of you Canada videos but it is a must try. I think it's quite good!

It's pretty white for a real stroganoff, the real deal is usually a dark orange in color, but in an arctic situation, I think I would be happy to have anything warm and even mildly tasty in my tummy.
