Mr. Yang is not recognized as a legitimate martial artist among Chinese martial arts societies in Taiwan, China and southeast Asia regardless his popularity in western countries where people know little about Chinese martial arts and its history. The lineage of his Tai Chi teachers is questionable. Kao, Tao and Yue, Huanzhi are not listed on the board of Yang family tree. There is little information about Yue, Huanzhi. Most Chinese articles say that Yue is a disciple of Dong, Yingjie. No records show that Yue is an indoor disciple of Yang, Chen-Fu. That is different from what stated on YMAA board.
Mr. Yang claimed on his YMAA board that he learned Taijiquan from Li Mao-Ching. That is incorrect. Li is a master in northern style Shaolin, not in Taijiquan. I personally learned Shaolin from Li years ago while was also learning Tai Chi at the same time. One student asked Li what are the differences between Shaolin and Tai Chi. Li said that if you play Shaolin slowly it becomes Tai Chi. What??? Hello!!! In my trained eyes, Mr. Yang's martial art is created by mixing from different styles with the root in White Crane.
I learned Tai Chi from one of Cheng Man-Ching's indoor disciples. Mr. Yang's Tai Chi has too many flaws like beginners per my trained eyes. He added too many unnecessary movements to confuse people. Never saw him demonstrating Taiji Jin anywhere. Is it all a commercial tinge lie?

By taiji jin, I assume you don't mean the kind of fa jin as in this video th-cam.com/video/XCwmVMg7T2k/w-d-xo.html right?
I don't think YJM claims to have learned taiji from Li, Mao Ching, he just states that Master Li taught taiji. In fact, in an anecdote, YJM said that when Master Li found out that YJM had learnt taiji before, he (LMC) told him (YJM) not to come to his LMC) taiji classes.
I personnaly think Li, Mao-Ching was never serious about taiji, and just practiced for relaxation (I have a video of him doing taiji...).

@@darth8freak The strikes YJM did are very common in different Chinese martial arts including Chen style taiji. Many people and I can do that too. The rest of his taiji quan performance is not worth mentioning.
However, not many can do this kind of fa jin. That is what I doubted that YJM can do it. th-cam.com/video/hEFilghXzAQ/w-d-xo.html, and this one th-cam.com/video/fSYPOhSgiis/w-d-xo.html, the one at 0:30, the rest is just playing.

Li's taiji performance is not worth mentioning.
But it states differently at ymaa.com/publishing/author/dr-yang-jwing-ming. Why put that lineage on YMAA official board if that is just an anecdote? In addition, the lineage of his other Yang style taiji teachers is also false. Refer to my original post.
