Per Star Wars Fandom website: Toshma Jefkin was coined in Matt Forbeck’s junior novelization of the movie (Rogue One). With approval from Lucasflim, the name was approved as it honored Matt’s friend, Jeff Mackintosh , a SW friend who died of brain cancer in 2016.
