I just found your Channel today and I am now bingeing all of your amazing vintage Star Wars card content. What a great video this is. I have opened dozens of 1980 Topps ESB boxes before and graded thousands of cards in my time (so far) and I can say that these are some of the best results I have ever seen. Huge congratulations! Thank you very much and keep up the great work. 👍
@@e-dubrippinstuff9820 ~ You seem to be doing very well all on your own. 😉 I’m not sure what wisdom I could offer but I’m always very happy to chat with a likeminded collector. Link to my Socials are on my Channel. All the best my friend. 👍
Very good video…..I have a one of a kind top color photo part of a 1980 display case with 192 rack packs inside…I had it framed, it’s in my lining room….will be checking out your upcoming breaks!
Enjoyed your PSA reveal here. Congrats on your eight PSA 10’s - the “Lando” and the “Use the Force, Luke” ones are likely the most valuable ones. Amazing that the one Empire box you ripped yielded you eight PSA 10’s. That’s rare.
You make really good videos and speak really good , I don’t even collect cards but randomly came across your channel , you should definitely make more content and try different stuff that you want
Thanks PJ. I really hope I didn’t come across as an obnoxious jerk… it’s not like I won the lottery or anything, but I was just so surprised, given how low the pops were on almost all of the ESB cards. I realize there aren’t that many graded overall… but still. Was so fun, to feel like I had some success. …and by the way, the series 4 & 5 boxes and wrappers are on their way. It’s the least I could do to make things even after you sent me all those sweet cards. Thanks again for the support. 👍🏻
@@e-dubrippinstuff9820 i really didn’t think you were obnoxious at all…. It was shocking to see all of those 10’s….I’d have felt the same way…..I got the package….very happy with the contents….looking forward to future videos! I’m making sure to share them
Well done! Hard to pull that many 10s on vintage! The centering on your Star File cards was all over the place. Check PSA's centering tolerances and I bet those grades will make more sense.
Nice return! About what you would hope for if you screen the cards pretty well and they look clean! I think PSA gem data for these is 10=20% 9=45% and 8=21% so you were pretty darn close to that! And those are the total for all-time and many people believe PSA is tougher on this stuff these days! Little harsh on a few cards, but maybe you can investigate and see what they found!
I have a stack of about 100 or so of these types of cards. They aren't all in the best condition. But I'm trying to figure out what I should do with them. Any suggestions?
I’ve gotten mine on eBay. I would say to try and wait for an auction… “Buy it nows” on eBay can be anywhere on the price spectrum. Series 1 is of course the most coveted of them too. If you’re lucky, a BBCE might go for around $1,300 it seems. An opened box with sealed packs (a little bit of a risk of course) might be gotten for about half of that. These are Series 1 prices. Series 2 and 3 are a little cheaper, but Series 3 seems to be hard to find right now, at a decent price. It’s possibly a decent price if you are just looking to sit on them. If you are looking to buy packs, open them, grade them, and sell them… and try to make a profit… that’s a tougher row to hoe.
Awesome return E dub. Congrats !!!!!!!

How very nice of you to say! Thanks! I felt very fortunate. You probably have much wisdom to share… I would love to hear any. Have a great one!

I love these cards - wonder if they made cards for the expanded universe books
Opening with a 10, awesome!

I’ll have to… wasn’t aware of this… many other things as well I’m sure. I’m learning everyday. From you and others it seems mostly. Thank you Ken!
Holy S$%&$^. Well done. Blew all of my data out the window. A Lando 10. Amazing.
Thanks! I was shocked… as you could tell 🤦🏼♂️

Really good return overall. Too bad you didn't get a gem mint 10 Boba Fett. That would have been awesome! 💵
You speak the truth… would’ve been amazing, but I am pumped for all the Gem Mints that I did get. You right though! Thanks Jack
What’s a good price for ESB series 1 packs? And where do you find em?
