i ordered the 35th aniversiry frogman at first i wasn't sure if i was going to like it but i bought it anyway because it is limited so i could probably sell it for a lot more if i end up not keeping it. but now that i seen some more pictures and videos i like to look of the watch. it is totally different from the other g-shocks and that makes it look unique
I bought a frogman GWF-D1000NV. it's so gorgeous and is difficult to find. That is why i bought it immediately as i see it. Very premium quality and is way more luxurious to feel than my mudmaster. It's just so expensive at USD 1,200. But it's worth it, you will know it when you see and touch it in person...
The GWFD1000 model just feels totally different from the usual G-Shock watches. I bought the basic one few months ago. They really feels great! I’m looking to get the Gold version pretty soon to experience the luxurious feels even more.
They're referring to the titanium material plus DLC coat body. The bezel aren't as expensive and replaceable really easily. The colours are for the fans, the enthusiast. This Frogman definitely not for the regular user/consumer.
i own a gw9400 and a gwf d1000 and perfect for me would be a Rangeman in a frogman case. The compass on the frogman is better but i dont need dive mode(i dont dive) but i would like to have barometer (because knowing if bad weather is comming can come in handy). The frogman is also much better made and significantly stronger. the tide indicator is also nice to have. The asymetrie of the frogman case is also a plus for me.

Thankyou for the review. I too uses gshock for fashion n designwise (not a diver, not a ranger). My first is DW6900bb for the iconic round. The 2nd is a frogman dw8200nk2. I go with old froggie because i only need an nice looking watch that has history. A good icebreker when i hang out with a new friend. The froggie 8200Nwas very standard, i got it NOS for the same price as a new rangeman. I like the titanium case that makes it lighweight compared to the size. Also i:m a leftie with small arms but wears a watch in my left hand., the dw8200 assymetrical design fits nicely in the left hand. Still saving for buying another froggie..maybe the 200 series.
Darcy Phillips multiband 6 can be turned off on the Rangeman might be the case or might be stored somewhere it doesn’t receive atomic time sync. Also power save disables multiband function to save power when stored.
Rangeman all day..the instant stopwatch is a selling point to me...but then again the new frogman (if you want to spend 800 to 100 bucks) has a sapphire crystal! Soooo

First off you should of shown the standard black versions of the Frogman and the Rangeman. The standard Frogman is around $400.00 to $450.00 , and the Rangeman is around $195.00 to $250.00 on ebay. The watches you are showing are way more in price. The Yellow Frogman your showing is on ebay for $3,000.00 to $6,000.00. And the Rangeman you are showing sells for $579.00 to over $1,000.00 on ebay as well. I own both of these watches in the standard black version. I got the Frogman for under $350.00 almost 2 years ago. Had to have a Frogman in my G-Shock collection.
Or get both. No regrets over here. I have the forest green rangeman and the 35th anniversary frogman in black. Not a fan of candy colored gshocks. Personal preference.

You can talk smack about the Rangeman but here in Australia the frogman cost 4 times more and there's no way it's 4 times better than the Rangeman, not even twice better or better full stop, it's different and made for water use while the Rangeman is for land use
The Rangeman had a significant price drop recently everywhere outside Japan. Thus making it harder to compete against. I can't argue on that anymore, the Rangeman is better now. In term if functions.
Rangeman will survive 200m. different to Frogmans 200m that it's uses different ISO standards.. Rangeman will handle 200m while stationary, with Frogman you can actually dive in depths close to 200m
if the Frogman is a divers watch I feel it should be at least 300m water resistant. I would actually design a Frogman to be 1000m water resistant to compete with a true divers watch like a Rolex deepsea sea dweller. Whts your thoughts? @gshockhighfashion

Gulfmaster sensor (magnetic compass) is more practical since you could tilt the watch while using it as being clearly demonstrated in the video. The other sensor are just fine. I prefer using analog hands better than digital while operating the sensor functions. Hence to me, Gulfmaster is better. I totally agree with you on how Rangeman is way more practical than a Frogman.
I would say the Rangeman is specifically for those who miss the features that it has, if you don't then you can choose either one, and style/looks come into play too

Sounds like a dw-8200 series frogman. Totally worth it if the bezel is still intact/no cracks.
Frogman is likely more suitable for people with big wrist. Still small wrist people can wear it but a lot of gap could be seen

Just like regular swiss watches that have ‘dive timer’ on the rotatable bezel. This one is like digital version of that.
