Honestly, if you decided to put out a video every time a set released of "cards going my my "X" decK and why", I'd love to watch it. I always feel starved for deck tech vids and enjoy your creative brews. Thanks as always for the great content!
Heads up tomer, fblthp and doc aurlock is a nombo, fblthp only lets you plot from the top of your library and doc aurlock only gives a cost reduction on cards plotted from your hand
Nobody is mentioning Angel of Indemnity. Why? It gets back The One Ring. It gets back most clones. If you encore it, it can get back all the original Kaldra pieces. It’s a flying, lifelinking 5/5 angel warrior.
I think it's good, but lacking an attack trigger like Sun Titan makes it different. It's great at holding equipment for sure. Better in Blink and amazing in Self-Mill!
How often is the One Ring in your graveyard? It has to be exiled or bounced to be removed. And self mill in a deck with white in it is relatively rare.
I saw some angels from this set that I could add to Kaalia. This was one of them mainly because I figured instead of paying commander tax I will just cast this Angel for 6 and bring back Kaalia with etb trigger.
I made a Satoru reanimator deck and it’s bonkers with cards like reassembling skeleton, Bloodsoaked champion, etc. creatures that can be played from graveyard
I've only been playing MTG/Commander for a month now, and I'll always be a budget player at heart so the 25 under $25 video was amazing. I managed to pull an "Insatiable Avarice" and a "Kambal, Profiteering Mayor" right after I finished building your Teysa deck and I figured swapping Insatiable for Sign in Blood was a solid choice. I could tell Kambal would work well in Teysa, but I'm struggling a bit on what to swap out for him. Have you thought about doing a follow up for your 25 for $25 video specific to Thunder Junction for us brand new budget players that got some lucky pulls we'd never buy as singles? Great vid, love the budget builds
I like Aven interrupter, I like playing control decks, I have a tivet asper control deck, non-CDH but it's still kind of higher. I plan to put that and the rabbit that gets you lands because there's not that much man or ramp in esper
Honest Rutstein is nuts. I also really like Embrace the Unknown from the Desert Bloom precon. 2R for an impulse draw 2, with Retrace. Solid in most red decks, really good in 'exile casting matters' decks
They both offer similar fixing, with the rabbit having a higher catch-up potential. I do think that the sand scout offers more utility at the moment. Being able to fetch up the bounce desert to return an MDFC land or channel land to your hand is real upside. Plus the new desert duals commit a crime.
@@aaronwindham6065 Hazezon of course. Plus as a common cycle, they are great in Pauper Commander. Any budget-restricted deck also could benefit. They aren't the most powerful, but that is ok.
This video answered what i needed to know and have been wondering for a while, does spree work with sunforger. Time to add great train heist and final showdown to my dogmeat voltron deck
I put satoru in my aminatou deck. I was able to draw my entire deck with feldiar guardian and aminatou lol. Just put it in their for extra draw, turns out its busted in that deck.
I don't really get the sign in blood usage. In mono black, sure, but night's whisper exists. Is the "target player" really coming in handy for you that often?
You're sleeping on nexus of fate. It let's you draw an extra card every turn (including the turn you play it) and then cheat an artifact or creature into play.
I had no idea what you were talking about until I started listening to the video after and realized! omg sorry! I will try my best to avoid saying that in the future, that was mighty cringe to hear D:
Servant of the Stinger remains a budget all-star, particularly given how easy it is to commit crimes. When you have reliable recursion or a way to pump its power, all the better. General Kudro loves this card.
@BudgetCommanderStreams those are some cool includes. I like that you can discard armadillo, nice early game fixing. Do you think it'll make a commander clash return in the future? love to see decks like that grow and evolve over time
I disagree Yuriko needs to be high-power or cedh. If you build her ninja tribal and don't fill your deck with counterspells, removals and high-cost/high-value spells, she's not particularly powerful.
Satoru is absolutely insane. Running it as my Ninja commander. It's actually busted good, you can draw like 20+ cards no problem. The fact that he also has menace as well makes him evasive and great for holding a Dowsing Dagger. He's also superb for reanimation, and there are even storm/combo decks you can do where you use creatures that cost 0. He also works super well with Plot - I'm using the new Jace and Phblthp to plot cards that I don't need in play right now, so I can easily recover from board wipes and also draw a bunch of cards when required. Such good synergy.
Not an hour long, fake top 10 video smh. Also you couldn't be more wrong about us not wanting to hear about the niche cards you like Tomer, thats like the best part of commander is the super specific cards.

Tomer brings me such joy
I took psychic damage from the way that Tomer pronounced "Hokage"
My favorite in the set is Lively Dirge. An Entomb and Reanimate on the same card is very flexible to be good.
This thumbnail is pure brilliance :)
I've been mulling over whether to put Kambal in my New Brimaz deck and this just convinced me. Thanks!
"Honorary Hokaji" ah yes, Tomar, Doctor Anime, channeling his knowledge of famous anime Norito
Thanks nerd
Great Train Heist can also be used defensively if you need to survive by untapping for blocks
Always appreciate your input, Tomer!
Heads up tomer, fblthp and doc aurlock is a nombo, fblthp only lets you plot from the top of your library and doc aurlock only gives a cost reduction on cards plotted from your hand
This is true my bad!
Sand scout is so good. It's white cultivate when you grab Arid Archway. On top of that it's a body that gives you more bodies!
Requisition raid slaps. I opened two in pre-release and I put them straight into edh decks. Rutstein is great too.
Annie Joins Up looks super good for Aragorn the Uniter. I'm looking forward to adding that one

@@aidennoir597 You often will sacrifice the one ring when the life cost gets too high. This lets you do so and reset the counters.
@@andrueurbane7361 I don't think the majority of decks have a way to sacrifice artifacts at the ready.
I love these set picks videos

I think I'd take out Costly Plunder for Kambal. The deck seems to have enough draw from testing.
I like Aven interrupter, I like playing control decks, I have a tivet asper control deck, non-CDH but it's still kind of higher. I plan to put that and the rabbit that gets you lands because there's not that much man or ramp in esper
I have been runing a similer version of Zedruu to yours and I was also really pumped for shifting Grift!
Kambal; Making Low Level Stax OK Since 2016 🤘
I’m excited about shifting grift w coveted jewel, and unblockable creatures. Not sure how I’ll work it out, but there’s fun in there- I’m sure of it
My personal problem with sandscout is that in 2 color decks i play emeria, so i want plains and in 3-5 color decks i generally have green already.
Devastated we didn't get Tomer in a cowboy hat
@10:46 umm you forgot it goes great in my omnath locus of all phyrexian all the praetors and just the best legendary phyrexian typal deck.
You underestimate the desire for odd niche picks. One of ky fav cards from OTJ is Caustic Bronco. It's just a perfect fit for Isshin.
Tomer do you have current lists anywhere on your paper decks?
Didn’t mention that Shifting Grift can deal with problematic enchantments in blue, kind of like janky removal
Shifting Grift is amazing in Hinata Dawn-Crowned. It’s UU for all modes
Not an optimal card, but it is fun in Orvar.
Requisition Raid is going straight into my Hinata - 1 cost destroy two permanents and pump my creatures? Yes Please.
Honest Rutstein is nuts. I also really like Embrace the Unknown from the Desert Bloom precon. 2R for an impulse draw 2, with Retrace. Solid in most red decks, really good in 'exile casting matters' decks
Yeah that one is superb!
I hope to see "grouphug" kambal bringing the hunted cards in a commander clash.
Nothing will be better than Eternal Witness. The flexibility of being able to return any card is too powerful. Even in a creature heavy deck.
I would think the rabbit, the three mana white card that lets you play planes would be better than the one that lets you play desert
They both offer similar fixing, with the rabbit having a higher catch-up potential. I do think that the sand scout offers more utility at the moment. Being able to fetch up the bounce desert to return an MDFC land or channel land to your hand is real upside. Plus the new desert duals commit a crime.
@@andrueurbane7361 Right but how many decks are actually going to run suboptimal deserts?
@@aaronwindham6065 Hazezon of course. Plus as a common cycle, they are great in Pauper Commander. Any budget-restricted deck also could benefit. They aren't the most powerful, but that is ok.
Doc aurlock is going in my adventure deck.
This video answered what i needed to know and have been wondering for a while, does spree work with sunforger. Time to add great train heist and final showdown to my dogmeat voltron deck
Most of the uncommon to rare spree cards seem very playable in commander to me
I put satoru in my aminatou deck. I was able to draw my entire deck with feldiar guardian and aminatou lol. Just put it in their for extra draw, turns out its busted in that deck.
No Lively Dirge? For 5 mana, you can tutor a 4 drop to the battlefield. That’s a great rate
I don't really get the sign in blood usage. In mono black, sure, but night's whisper exists. Is the "target player" really coming in handy for you that often?
No, but the feeling of pulling it off is worth it for some people.
I dont get why people run x when y exists. Yes, but did you consider, people are running both cards as redundancy?
T1, Elf
T2 Cultivate/Kodama's Reach
T3 Voja
T4 Elf, Annie Joins Up and attack for 4x +1/+1 to all your creatures and 2 card draws.
My brain wants Sotoru and Rustein together with a bunch of 1 drop artifact creature
Annie Joins Up is great in Voja.
Are you assuming voja needs to cast spells once he starts attacking?
The plushie doesn't actually look that bad on your shelf.
But is it a plant?
You're sleeping on nexus of fate. It let's you draw an extra card every turn (including the turn you play it) and then cheat an artifact or creature into play.
Honestly the "exile card from hand" templateing is probably one most people dont like as it shuts down recursion.
I like rakdos joins up a reanimate and payoff for aristocrats
Loot is watching me from the background and I don't know how to feel about it.
I think people are sleepinng on Freestrider Lookout. I want to try it in so many decks.
I keep trying it and then not committing enough crimes for it to work, rip.
Tomer, i love you, I'm here no matter what, but we really gotta get you off the "as well, too" obsession.
I had no idea what you were talking about until I started listening to the video after and realized! omg sorry! I will try my best to avoid saying that in the future, that was mighty cringe to hear D:
Loot looming in the back 👀

Wrong tomer i am interested in the cards going into 6 drop tribal
Alright then, for 6-Drops I'm adding: Bonny Pall, Clearcutter, Spinewoods Armadillo, and Vengeful Regrowth!
@BudgetCommanderStreams those are some cool includes. I like that you can discard armadillo, nice early game fixing. Do you think it'll make a commander clash return in the future? love to see decks like that grow and evolve over time

Hmm, if i have two wedding rings and my opponent has one, does he get two cards since i have two rings? 🤔
Honest Rutstein welcome to my Henzie's Horde deck, all creatures and lands, lets GOOOOOOO ;p LOL
Doc Aurlock give a discount plotting from your hand so sadly doesnt work with Fblthp who plots from your library

Thank you for pronouncing Orzhov right and not saying ORSHZOOOV
Annie Joins Up is an auto include in a Voja deck
Doc aurlock should have been rakdos
