    I had similar issue with the manufacturer when I ordered my Warrior 53". I expected 35#@31" but I ended up getting 42#@31". I decided to keep it. Might take a couple of years to work my way from 25# to 42#.

    love watching these thumb draw videos , i started archery from watching armin hirmer,
    I wouldn't be able to use 3 finger draw because every time i try it feels so awkward and i feel im not pulling the bow back far enough. 4:20

    I own two cheap Korean bows. Even the bow dealer I ordered them from has fallen to this "measured at 31 inch" myth. This might be valid for premium bows, or certain manufacturers. But not for every bow. Don't those dealers measure the stuff they sell at least once, before they write BS about the product?

      Yeah one would think they would double check bow weights or atleast their websites that state "@28inch" and simply change it to "@31 @32" for sake of confussion.

    The 2021 version is actually the very first version of this bow. It doesn't appear in the 2020 catalogue.

    I love shooting my Korean bow too, easily become my favorite. I had a few bows before and currently using my Mariner as well. But with my Kaya I can go to WAR with 🤘 🐺

    Re speed. With. 405grain 400 spine 33"arrows you should ne getting about 220fps easily. Eatimate based on my "50#" Majesty which is 64# @33".

  • @KTBIOM
    @KTBIOM 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have measured all my korean bows and the stated value seems to be measured at 28". My 53" 50# Majesty is the same. 50# @ 28" and about 65# -70# at 31" -33".

    that brace height looks really high for a korean bow, idk maybe its the camera

    The bow was 59lbs at 28" according to your draw curve... Maybe the importer made a mistake by measuring the bow at the standard 28"? Maybe they do it on purpose because of the standard?

    • @journeywitharrows2742
      @journeywitharrows2742  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My draw curve shows it is exactly 50lbs at 28inches .

    • @journeywitharrows2742

      It seems to be a common report amongst people who have korean bows. I know a few people that have had the same outcome with various korean bow suppliers. I do believe that it is just aan error and does refer to the 28inch mark, which just means they need to ammend the product description on their websites from 32inches (or the stated draw) down to 28inches :)

    Good vid 😎, way over the top on the draw weight tho 😯, but I expect you will overpower it soon with perseverance 👌. I have the same arrow pass problem on a freddie KTB, ive had to peel it off and move it round the riser to an undamaged bit. Where did you get the sting ray skin from 🤔 ? as thats what I want to put on mine 👍.

    • @journeywitharrows2742
      @journeywitharrows2742  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes +16lbs is crazy haha +2 maybe +5lbs would be more acceptable. Ebay :) you can buy stingray leather off of ebay for reasonably cheap if you look for the scraps. Just make sure you sand down and smooth it out before you apply it to the bow as ray skin is bumpy and rough and will eat through your arrows otherwise :) failing that you may well find polished ray skin on ebay too :)

    • @davewebster6945
      @davewebster6945 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@journeywitharrows2742 Yes polished is what I'm after 👌 so you bought the raw thing and then sanded it 🤔. Was it hard to do and how much did you have to remove and what thickness was it when you had finished it ? Also is it smelly 😳? Sorry bout all these questions 😏.

      @@davewebster6945 I use E Bay rayskin on my 30lb Freddie bow without sanding it - it works just fine. More recently I picked up a 40lb model and the standard arrow pass is holding up much better - could my "Khatra" be improving? Have a look at the link I posted above, this guys arrows are well away from the bow.

    I use two Freddie bows and they are great. I agree the arrow pass is a bit iffy, but if you shoot them properly (I can't - yet!) then the arrow pass is irrelevant. Have a look at this guy, his arrow is quite a way from the bow: th-cam.com/video/6hGigz2B6YA/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Kim%2CHyung-TakArcheryschool
    Even with my hopeless technique I use a 48 inch 30lb Black Shadow (same bow with less decoration and smaller grip) as my primary "Clout" bow, moving to my 40 pounder when things get windy though I do have to be careful not to overshoot!

      Very effecient bows for clout, roving and flight shooting!
