This rod has VERY little whip action. Does not cast jigs very far. It is a great rod. Everything lined up and beautiful to look at, but it is way too stiff. Just don't know what it's great for.
Asher y'all doing a good job till ya used sticky tape on thiose rod eyes. Y'all gotta tie one end in place then whip the other or make up some pine pitch to hold it for whipping up. Same with the lakker. Then ya got ya a real honest Huckleberry style rod, y'all must video us what ya catch see y'all on video.

Thick copper wire does a good job, too. Especially the ones with plastic mantle.

This is good work, I recommend going to a scrap yard and getting a piece of railroad to use as an anvil, then go out and buy a ball peen hammer.
