- Have you been thinking about starting an Avon business or just getting up and running and wanted to get a little more information? Today, I'm going to share with you 7 things I wish I knew before I got started in Avon.
Hi there! My name is Jessica Zumbusch and I have been an Avon rep for 14 years. I help ladies (and a few good men) build successful businesses and openly share everything that I have done to be a top seller and top leader. These are my real, honest opinions.. some of these things might be hard to hear and you may not agree with these or even like these but these are my experience.

Yep. Between shipping and taxes, there's ZERO commission! Avon can certainly afford to pay Representatives a higher commission!
It's true that there isn't a lot of commission as a new representative, unless you are working towards earning the bonuses. This is a long term business and when you achieve Presidents Club or above there DEFINITELY is commission. Plus, my favorite thing about online selling is that I don't have to do anything with the product. No submitting order, no delivery and I still earn a percentage. Little work for a bit of commission, im in! Thanks for commenting and watching!
@@Makeupmavenjessica I don't have the health/stamina to sell Avon person to person. If I could get online customers, that would be ideal.
People have said I don't look my age, and I say "Avon". I began using their creams; Advance Wrinkle Corrector, and ThermaFirm in 2006. Unfortunately Avon changed everything when the Korean company took over.
Praying-Hoping they don't discontinue the SSS Radiant Moisture body wash in the Bonus size. That scent gets so many compliments!
They discontinued the Anew foundation I used for years; they are marketing to much younger women now.
Oh well....
@holly only sales can be challenging but when you focus on building relationships 1 on 1 instead of "selling", you'll see the best results. Plus, Sharing helping information to solve problems for your customers with our products as a solution, will create more sales. Be sure to subscribe to my channel because I'm teaching more and more about that stuff.
The exciting thing about LG taking over is that we are getting new products while keeping our staple and core products. I don't imagine our sss line will be going away.
With any business there will be changes and challenges. As a business owner it is learning to be resilient and enjoying the journey! You've got this!

Hey! You pay shipping when you have orders delivered to you or any personal order shipped to you. We also pay for shipping ($8) for our online customers when they order over $60, as treat for them. I wished I had joined an energy group as you suggested. Can't get out of the one I am in, now.
Thankfully, the group you are in doesn't determine your success. Meaning, you can still be successful and get the support you need elsewhere. There's lots of great Facebook groups you can join and wonderful leaders sharing on TH-cam. You've got this!
How come you don’t know what happens when those join pop ups on the rep online store takes the customer away from the rep?

How can we choose our own, since they’ve already assigned us one??
There is an option to choose your mentor when you are signing up. Unfortunately, after you sign up, you are linked to whomever you chose or were assigned to.

Hey! Ya know, I'm not sure what opportunties there are for Avon representatives in the UK. The United States Avon is a completely different company. I hope you'll be able to get opportunties to travel though!

@aimeesDaws it took me several years of trying before I earned my first trip. It does take awhile to build up the skills and actions to be a top leader and top seller. Keep at it! It's worth it!
