  • I've been waiting for this model ever since it was announced and I am extremely pleased with the product Diecast Masters has produced. The D7E is an electric drive dozer and this model of it is in 1:50 scale. As you'll see in the video, there's ton's of working features that make this unique model score a 9/10 on the rating matrix.

The screws on the side of the blade are removable, and more specifically, are adjustable. They are used to position the angle of the blade.

The blade on yours looks exactly like mine and I can angle my blade. The screws that you mentioned are for removing the blade are actually for changing the angle of the blade.

Yep I eventually figured that out. But thank you for letting me know and thank you for watching the video

On the production model you can change the angle of the blade so you can pose it angled left, right, or straight.

Being how the blade is fixed could you take one of the screws out and straighten the blade up? Does it have the center pin?

Yes by unscrewing the screws, you can change the blade angle.

Cool model... one thing i can never understand is why people care if the tracks move...who plays with these? You buy it sit it on your shelf or display cabinet and that's it. Its not a toy. Ill never understand it 🤔😄

There's collectors of all kinds. Some place them on shelves or in display cases. Some use them in dioramas. As far as my opinion on the matter goes, the more working features that closely resemble the real machine (in this case working tracks), the better!

Nice review but I'm disappointed to see that the blade is fixed on an angle

My personal opinion was that it was done that way to model a "backfill" angle.

@Steve Palumbo @ Diecast Emporium It (the blade) can actually be set @ 3 different angles. That is what the screws are for. The black screws (on each side) can be undone and reconfigured by re-screwing them into one of the other 2 holes. By doing this you can configure the blade to be set even/straight-on , or have it angled to the right (directly opposite the left sided angle it comes set at). The only bummer is that the blade cannot be completely removed....so as to pose the dozer as a blade-less load on a lowboy.

Diecast Emporium, great review as always, you mentioned the blade assembly comes off for transportation. Does the blade cylinder just pop out of the black sleeve and what about the hydraulic lines? Do they just pop out of the holders as well? Thanks!!!

Yes everything can come off on my mine. I can't speak to the finished versions, but my assumption would be that yes the cylinder would just slide out. Thank you for watching!

Diecast Emporium Thanks!! If the released version is like the one you reviewed, the lack of blade movement kind of takes a little away from this model. Would be a lot nicer if they made it to move side to side. But more than likely I will still end up getting one. Thanks again!!!
