I 🖤 working with EVA. Definitely going to try this. The hot glue dot gripper nubs are a great idea. Quick, compact, and basically indestructible: what's not to like?
A hot wire cutter can get through EVA foam but it really let's off some pretty awful fumes and it doesn't go through it quickly like it goes through other foams. In my experience the best thing to do is just to hide it 🤣

creative and smart, I like it. I wonder if you could remove the texture on the bottom side of the tiles with a hotwire cutter
