UPDATE - It's been brought to my attention that some of the items listed in my guide are essentially garbage, so please disregard the Barman Shanker, Hookfang Shanker, and Frightalon. I completely forgot about the debuff limit and focused on weapons with decent DPS at endgame.
Shanker is still a nice PvP weapon and "I'm farming 5 mans and UBRS" weapon and it can easily be solo'd by a Rogue pre-60, so it's still worth getting...plus it's a broken bottle, it's awesome looking. FWIW, the proc rate is super, super low as well. In a 5 man with 16 debut slots (which we will have in Classic), it's not likely to knock off any debuffs in instances while you farm up a better weapon.
Hey man I only found you last night, really like your vids! Caster guide was full of great info, eagerly awaiting a mage video :) hope your channel blows up
Great guide, while not every item listed will be usefull for every rogue. still a very good compilation of good items across the board. Thanks for sharing!
Yo, i just wana say thankyou for this.. It's been so long from i've played the content i've forgetten a few of these beauties! Keep making videos they're excellent.. also.. thankyou very much for the detailed write up along side this video, if those can also be kept up with that would be awesome!
Really good video, useful for me since I plan to play a rouge. If I may give a small bit of feedback; it would be nice to have the items on screen just a bit longer. It can be hard to read all the stats in time.
I know that, 5head. It still breaks the flow of the video and there's nothing else that needs to fill the screen when he is still talking about the same item.
Thank you for the guides,, I am STILL trying to figure out what i want as my main,, i started playing vanilla 1 week after launch and raided MC-AQ40 as a mage,, got deployed and played Wrath-Cata as a Rogue,, I have not played at all since then,, soo i am super happy to see Classic .. sooo hard to decide.
Pretty good suggestions... I would add a bit about stat priority when gearing up in Phase 1 tbh...a lot of people may not realize just how good 1% hit chance or 1% crit chance is compared to attack power/agility etc. Also, you may want to learn build and gear priorities for other classes. The comment at the end was a bit odd - you will have no competition for felstriker (you honestly need two to make dagger rogue viable over sword rogue (unless you get lucky of course with Alcor's)) and also no competition for dal rend swords set, as Fury warrior is pretty bad for MC/Ony compared to Arms since you need 9% hit chance. It's also worth noting to make some LBRS runs for Blackcrow (without a Hunter in group) as it's an easy way to help reach hit requirements without really affecting any other gear. Just my thoughts...cheers.
there is some REALLY good items in Stratholme which I don't know why you didn't mention them. Mask of the Unforgiven from The Unforgiven which is a very early boss in the dungeon is the literal BiS Headpiece pre raid. Also Baron Rivendare drops some really good items for rogues. And Stratholme is much easier to clear than Scholo. Scholo is really hard early on. Anyways, its still a good video.
Mostly aimed to reduce the number of dungeons as much as possible. Of course, there's some great items in every high-end dungeon, but this is pretty much the simplest way to do it.
Generally I'm trying to avoid them for the sake of compiling the "easy way" to gear up. Devilsaur leather is great though and I probably should have mentioned it at least.
@@SilviteSoltis dosnt look like this is much of a raiding or PVE guide. You should be hit capped at 9% if you want to do decent dps in raids and dungeons. This is sort of general gearing or early pvp gearing.
First amazing video mate very well put together. Second how about a weapon / gear progression guide whiles leveling for people that want to keep their gear high whiles leveling
In the future can we pause longer on the weapon tooltips instead of immediately jumping to a small clip of the game? I'm having to pause the video like 50 times just to see the stats of the items.
So in classic i can learn 2 main professions, and all three (cooking, fishing, first aid) second professions ? Also do i need to get a certain lvl to learn all 3 2nd professions or can i just go and pick them up on lvl 1 :) ? thanks
Are blizzard using 1.12 itemisation? Didn’t they say progressive itemisation was the way they were playing things? That makes the gear lists very different.
It's progressive drops, but with the 1.12 stats. Meaning to make these lists I had to sift through all the items and find out what patch they were added in. Everything here was pre-1.3 ;)
@@SilviteSoltis thanks for the reply. These videos are great I enjoy them a great deal and hope you continue making high quality content. Very well done mate.
The Barman Shanker is one of the absolute worst weapons you could get. Not only is the debuff extremely weak (100 damage over 30 seconds, that's only 3,33 dps IF IT PROCS), it also uses up a debuff slot which there are only 16 of, and it could push way more important debuffs off of bosses, like armor or resistance reductions. DO NOT GET THIS WEAPON Edit: Same goes for Hookfang Shanker, the proc dps is even worse and the armor reduction debuff doesn't stack with other reductions. Edit Edit: Same goes for Frightalon. Dude i really like your channel and vids, but this is so full of misinformation... Ignore weapons that put debuffs on enemy targets, don't even try getting Ironfoe because that weapon should 100% go to the tank everytime (except if your tank already has it which is pretty unlikely), just farm the Dal'Rend weapon set and you're good to go.
I played a rogue during Vanilla, but I don't recommend it for Classic unless you want to PVP. Warriors are better melee dps, are more interesting to play, and bring more to the raid. Feral druids also bring more to the raid (when played correctly) and, like rogues, can do stealth runs of dungeons (but better since druids can tank and heal). They also level more quickly. You deserve so many more views, thanks again for the very informative well laid out vid!

I try to take feedback and incorporate suggestions as best as I can ;)

save your sanity and skip dal'rend from ubrs, get Mirah's song (amazing off hand sword) and sword of zeal, also get the crusader enchant

+2 hit shoulders from a BRD quest my friend :) and 1+ hit 20 Ap trinket from Jintah alor q (hinterlands)

Any level but you’ll have to 1. Get money to buy the skills and 2. Get to the trainer by running from wherever starting zone you start at

id put devilsaur as its really easy to farm especially as a rogue

whats whats the OST songname used from the beginning?
every time i try to run BRD the group miraculously falls apart right before a boss.

Temple of the moon soundtrack
Hand of Justice, must have Item ! and it is possible to farm it solo (on Level 60, have missed it earlier, so a strong trinket on 60 if u haven't)
i just finished one of those boring dungeons and then followed it up with this video and fell to sleep. ty both.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to speed it up a bit in future guides. :)
was fine for me, if you are in rush, just read the writte guide...
No, I like his calm approach, it's much better than rush noisy guides
get what you are saying but I don't mind actually like it
"roll on everything if you can equip it"
Competition is kindof to be expected a.k.a make your own run where you're the only person who can need on shit :)
Did you even mention the devilsaur set?
No, but that's not the point of this guide ;)
You are mentioning alot of weapons with debuffs. Your raid would probably not allow those.
Probably not, but it's something to start with at least ;)
HOJ is off angerforge
Yeah I was going off an old atlasloot addon when I put this together initially. Thanks for pointing out that I need to fix this.

Thanks! ^_^
How to avoid running dungeons all day…. Runs dungeons all day😅 good vid though. Nice to have a list good or meh to look out for.

suggesting a mace for pre raid bis lol.
Bro you sound like dominick cruz lol
julian Jeffries lmao he really does
Toy cant use my last name lol. 😁
Kids these days have ADHD, gotta speed it up and get to the meaty info.
Im sorry but all this seems ridiculous. U can get a 16agi cape from the rogue class quest. Why would a rogue wear strength gear? smh
I am not even level 20 wtf dude
