Very cool. Im building my 72 K20 as well. Im goin with hugger orange and white roof. Im getting the original style cab lights from, make it done, SM465 with 205 tc. 14 bolt rear with disc brake conversion. Offroad design steering box brace. New front leaf rear shackles and hangers from hogback fabrication. Slot mags from US Mags. Wire harness from American autowire. Dynocorn panels. I could go on and on. Im having the time of my life.
You do some exceptionally nice work dude 👍 that truck looks nicer than and better quality than original factory. Keep up the great work and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
Things added to my list because of this video. the winch plate, the steering box brace. Ord steering crossover. I wanna shackle flip the rear n ditch these blocks to.
You do Top Notch work! Very Nice 1971 Chevrolet K20 4WD truck! This is one of three favorite colors - Dark Green 505; Dark Olive 506 and for 1969 trucks - Maroon 517. Never was a fan of the Standard Tu-Tone with cab painted White 521 or the Deluxe Tu-Tone with White 521 on the cab and in between two body side moldings - the upper spear molding and lower wide molding. IMO, tu-tone colors are not appealing on trucks...prefer a solid color...and on the 1969 - 1972 Chevrolet and GMC trucks...only the lower wide body molding in chrome / black, with the matching applique in chrome / black (LMC truck has it). If I was building one of these trucks...would start with a C30 2WD cab and frame because it is very difficult to find an original K25 truck; use original OEM A/C but with modern compressor (from LMC truck); GM Corporate 14 bolt rear axle assembly; Dana 60 front axle assembly with coil springs; big block 454 cu in V8; 700R4 or possibly SM 465; and NP205 transfer case.
Beautiful truck. Your workmanship and knowledge of these trucks is top rate, much respect. My old 72 Cheyenne is the same color without the ugly white cab roof that many were painted. Where do you get your sheetmetal bedsides, gates ect.? We plan on coming to your summer gathering, I'll be in touch. Peace.
I agree these panels has gotten better, they have to ,to compete with some of the better vendors, like amd,an a few others, I buy from, national parts depo, very good parts
To do a complete restoration. What are your charge? I would like to find A71 c. 23 quarter 104 wheel drive. I had A72 wheel drive. And I kicked myself from the butt for selling it. I am 59 years old that I'm looking for one. Will I want one that's in met condition? Whether it inch lift every dude axles underneath it. So please let me know. How much would it cost to go through one even to purchase 1? If you have one, thank you. I love you work and your content. You do beautiful work
Lots of similar parts on this one that I'm putting onto mine. Glad to see the hedmans fit super nicely. My only hang up might be in my starter, what style starter is being used on this one?

Brand stampings. Dynacorn, tri plus, woodall etc
Dark olive K20 is my weakness.

That’s a GM mini starter that came with the crate engine
Make a video on everything needed to convert a 2wd to 4wd
Who makes the steering box brace ?
Off road designs. Tell them I sent you!
