- Cooly Rock's 2024 was bigger and better than ever. We managed a day trip on Saturday to check out the sights and sounds of one of Australia's Biggest and Best Car and Music Events. This year was huge and it was very hard to film with so many people around the cars though we did the best we could.

I dearly miss our years at Wintersun/Cooly. This brought it all back. The wretchedness of old age. Great video.

It is Huge, I think well over 1000 cars and over 160 000 visitors over three days.

its well worth the trip, hotels etc are not cheap though so get in early to book.
Very cool I wish I had of got over there, almost booked my trip too, but got so much on the go happening already... Cool video mate, you had me at the end thinking is that someone else's one that's just like yours? as the plates were different hahahahaha

@@DADZGARAGE The friday/friday night was epic the crowds and the people were just fantastic, ashame you couldnt stay for the entire event Mal and get footage of the evenings as well... Its definitely going to be the top of my list from now on... Will be booking accommodation for next year asap
@@Steve-jo3clI have done most years for at least three days but lots of travel lately, Beachfest last week and the costs of accom at Cooly Rock's meant a day trip this year. Maybe next year could be for a few days??

How often does this event happen at Cooly ?
Once a year, jump on their webpage or facebook for all details. Cooly Rock's. get in early to book accommodation if needed as it fills up fast.
Ubpopular opinion.. it uses to be rock ansld roll festivl filled with hotrods and lead sleds but now its becoming just another car show full of typical 70s cars.
Still heaps of rods and custom builds but do understand it has changed over the years.
It’s moved with the times and the people’s interests
It wouldn’t attract the numbers if it were still stuck displaying 1930s vehicles that no one is interested in.
@@rc70ys lots of people still like hotrods and things like that... It's not a kustom kulture even it's. Tourist and revenue event.. oh well greaze feat is still a thing.. and I can always go to California...
And they also do have the kustom ally and lots of kustoms and rods.
