3:07 the honey does not “kill” the bacteria! It stops it from multiplying by stoping the activity of an enzyme that is responsible for the separation of two cells. Essentially the bacteria stops dividing.

So does eventually eliminate the bad bacteria from the body or it just stops it ?

@@themystery7686 if you use a manuka honey dressings on an old wound that doesn’t heal because of staphylococcus aureus infection, for example, the osmotic pressure will extract all the bacteria eventually, at the same time promoting healing. New blood vessels and nerves will appear and eventually the wound will seal.

2:28 Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) is the name given to a shrub by the Māori when they first settled in New Zealand more than 1000 years ago. Manuka honey was not a product until hundreds of years later when Europeans brought the honey bee (Apis mellifera).

correct, from what Ive read bees existed in NZ before the introduction of these honey bees were smaller and couldn't produce the kind of manuka honey we have now

      No I did not
      No one wants to commit
Everyone is afraid that since this is a controversial procedure they could be held accountable if anything should go wrong

I actually just recently started culturing mycobacterium avium which is a close relative of the bacteria they talk about here. Ive started combining about 1tsp of manuka honey into one vial of hypertonic saline in my neb cup and then stirring it around until completely diluted. Then nebulizing as normal. I have cystic fibrosis. Ive been doing this for about 2 weeks and I truly feel like its helping. I am not on the antibiotics. Trying to treat without it right now since its not making me “sick”
