I like, had a in your face camo jacket years ago and dyed it black and it came out a dark grey camo effect but I liked it, had it for a good few years but the beer belly made me abandon it.
I see the Royal Engineers dye their MTP for playing 'enemy' out on Minley and Hawley wood. It does take, but doesn't remove the pattern. Your bang on though, outstanding value for the price. I have an old DPM one, still looks brand new and tough as old boots.
I do love my s95 jackets after I rip the hood wire out :) the mtp is a better colour and the extra arm pockets are great. Will have to get myself one at some point although I still have 3 new 95 ones to get through 👍
nice jacket i have the same i also try to use random colours so i change as in different environments but i agree surplus is always good value i love the way the buttons are sown on strong i wish they would make one a little bit darker as going across grass you can see a grass colour would be perfect with the same pattern obviously the right background and keeping still will always work 👌👌

the mesh was a pain in the arse it tangled and would catch on stuff zippers in the pockets arnt really a problem unless you have really big hands i would go with mk2 but the mk 1 was still a good smock if you removed the mesh
@@hampshireoutdoorsandsurviv9340 i ordered an mk2 same size. i will see the differences. now i have 5! british smock, 3 mtp , 2 desert, are they too many? am i a tactical sucker????? :)
@@hampshireoutdoorsandsurviv9340 It's my favourite jacket. . mainly for the four pockets like this one . . They are so bulky though there's only enough room in our lives for one or two of them 😀 Water proofing would be an interesting experiment.

those hand warming pockets are awesome as well ,i love the 95 its like putting on an old mate

I dyed my mtp shorts with green it got rid of the pink and looked a 1000 times better

used a of the shelf black dye for synthetics and it came out perfect
Mk2 or mk1? Is the mk1 fabric a bit thinner? Do you think the mesh i durable? Do the zippers in fleece pockets bother you in mk2?❤🎉

How "noisy" is this smock? Would you recommend it for hunting?
its not noisy ant yes for hunting id use it but a couple of washes to get it comfy and plenty of conditioner mate softens up nice
