    If you didn't know anything about Mason McCormick or South Dakota State before he was drafted, that's on you. The Jackrabbits were 15-0 last year, won the FCS Championship, outscoring their opponents in the four game playoff series 146-15. Mason has 6 or 7 former SDSU teammates on NFL rosters now, including QB Chris Oladokun and RB Pierre Strong. There's some solid football played in the Missouri Valley Conference, and SDSU and NDSU often have high NFL draft choices. McCormick is blue collar, nasty, and born to be a Steeler offensive lineman. Seeing him and Frazier work together is a sight to behold!

      They put out solid football players gotta respect it. Glad the nfl is getting so good about finding talent wherever it is. D1-3 you can find gems everywhere.

    Still can’t believe we got Frazier in the 2nd Payton Wilson in the 3rd and McCormick in the 4th 😂. Just wish we would’ve got to see more of fautanu and Roman Wilson

    I LOVED those cutback plays! They ran it a couple of times; the first one was with the pitchback to further disguise the clear-out blocks that allow Najee the time for the lane to open up back to the right, and you have it in the video. Great playcall!

    McCormick is going to be a really good guard for the Steelers. He will get better and better and continue that Steelers 66 number tradition. The last 2 players to wear 66 for the Steelers were DeCastro and Faneca!

    I can't believe this guy fell to the 4th round after he made one of the best Athletic performances in NFL history,he almost got a perfect RAS along with Payton Wilson. Omar Khan got really crazy steals over the last 2 drafts

    When Faatanu comes back, and McCormic and Frazier have that one year of experience, that offensive line is going to be scary. Great draft this year. They can grab a few late rounders next year and round it out with some depth. Line should be good to go for a few years.

    Omar Khan is a beast. This kid was suppose to sit and learn as a rookie. So much for that.

    Three rookies would be starting on the o-line if Troy F didn't get hurt (RT).

    Mason brings the attitude, we saw that in training camp when someone went after the QB a little too aggressively! Our O-line will be awesome for years to come with Jones, Frazier and Fautanu and Washington / FreierMUTH!

    Great breakdown. 66 is going to be a franchise G for the Steelers. Also, for those viewing, watch 73 & 65 on the last play. Wow.

    Broderick Jones absolutely washed his man at 6:10 too.

      He has so much to clean up in pass pro and has some bone headed moments, it’s easy to forget that he can still really be a bully in the run game. I’m not sure what his future is when Fautanu comes back, but I hope he figures it out and carves out a role in Pittsburgh.

      Dan Moore is a free agent and theres a chance they’ll want to see how Jones does at left tackle considering he has a higher ceiling than Moore

    The Steelers would imo be the best team to land a young QB w upside cus if they can, they have a young team who is going to be really good for the next 5-7 years imo

      I agree. That's basically the formula the Steelers had when Big Ben was a rookie. Granted Ben got thrown unexpectedly due to injury, but he still had a bunch of still young veterans around him.

    "More talented across the board"
    That is one heck of a hot take

  • @richstafford1245
    @richstafford1245 วันที่ผ่านมา

    You made a statement about the Raven’s being more talented. At QB, RB and safety I would agree. I would argue every other position is at least an argument. Do the Raven’s have a better receiver than Pickens? Better linebacker than Watt? Better DL than Heyward? The Steelers front seven is light years better than the Ravens. Overall I would say the Steelers offensive line is better than the Raven’s O line. This narrative that the Ravens are stacked with talent is completely baseless imo. It’s national media cheerleading for L Jackson, nothing more..

    Pat Myer confuses me so. Idk if he’s a good coach or is Broderick jones just sucks. The fact he can take a athletic freak like McCormick and have him playing at a starter level definitely puts a point in the good coach box

  • @paladin1726
    @paladin1726 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Key block on the 5:20 play was McCormick's double team? No mention of Broderick Jones? No mention of Washington with the kick out? Jones drives his man to the center of the LOS creating the running lane, but that wasn't the key block. 🤭 Right now it's trendy to shit on Jones so I understand.

    It is so frustrating watching 240+ pound Najee Harris try to juke, spin, hurdle around/over DB's in the open field. Every time he does it I think, "You are huge, RUN HIM OVER"

    • @JBtacoma
      @JBtacoma วันที่ผ่านมา

      Cut the nonsense. Lamar is 1-4 as a starter against much worse PIT teams. PIT owned T.O.P.. they owned the turnovers. Had 6 successful drives for points, except for a handful of throws made Lamar and that offense look mid at best. Kept Henry under 70 yards and made him fumble. Ravens let the Steelers drive the field 7 times. If anything the Steelers played down tobthe Ravens on sunday.
