Myself and Eddie (Scots WildCamper ) head south to the Lake District for a wild camp on top of Hallin Fell. The views are amazing from this hill and gave me an opportunity to give my Hilleberg Anaris a run out. The day started beautiful but in the evening rain moved in .

Thanks to let me know such beautiful places in the UK and I'm looking forward to visiting there some time.
We use Hilleberg's tents in Taiwan as well (Anaris & Anjan GT) and I love hiking; maybe that's why youtube recommend your video to me haha

Good trip across the border Stevie. Enjoyed your wee video. Shame about the rain. Away to Skye mid-June but weather is unpredictable. Will be doing walk from Sligachen back to Broadford if health is good. ATB.

Cheers, yes shorten the pole height , when I done this trip I just basically got the tent at the time

Cheers Kev, it was a cracking spot . Yeah the Anaris is a similar to the Lanshan 2 , I have one too but the Anaris is quality though

Brilliant wee outing. As well you got the tents up before the rain. 1.2 kg is excellent for a 2 man right enough. Those propane cylinders are the business. I’ve never pitched up a hill but it looks great for views. I wonder if that’s the Mark whose channel I follow. It’s a small world in TH-cam hikers and campers!👍✌🏻

Lovely vid Stevie, looks a nice part of the lakes, certainly a brew with a view.👍 hoping to get more camps myself this year, quick question, how do you find your sleeping mat.? I have an alpkit but find it slidy and not very wide, thinking of upgrading.

I'm thinking of getting this tent, my concern is that I have never used mesh only inners, can I ask how cold the tent is in a wind, does the wind cut strait through, so any windchill factor is brought into the tent. I mainly camp in the peak district or the lakes, I have a Unna but wanted a lighter tent for summer use, but as we all know it still gets windy in spring summer on the fells and tors .. any thoughts around winds and temperature when in the inner would be great would be great
Hi there, it’s a great tent . There’s no problem with wind at all .. on this video I had I pitched quite high but it can be pitched with the fly closer to the ground. I have a few tents and this definitely one of my favourites 👍

Great vid. I'm thinking of getting this tent, always wanted a hilleberg so this might be the one as I'm doing the west highland way again next year with the misses. Have you tried it out in the scottish rain yet? How did it hold up? Have you tried it out in very bad weather like a storm? Thanks again for the vid great watch pal
Thanks, I’ve never really had it out in the bad weather but it would be fine . I have other tents (Hilleberg Soulo) for the stormy weather ..
@@ootnboots yeh but the weight of the anaris is under 1.5kg which is perfect for mountain hikes. I know hilleberg list it as mot for snow and singer weather but their tents are so high quality maybe they don’t know what bad quality is and are just listing it as not for bad weather because they’ve never released a tent like it before 🤣
I’ve found vids of people camping in the rain with it but I’m curious about gale force winds and side rain etc

1.2kg for a two person trekking pole tent is more than respectable. Especially when it’s manufactured to hillebergs standards. I’d prefer the scarp though. Preferably without Eddie in it 😋
