Bobby Kimball is an American singer best known as the original lead vocalist for the rock band Toto. He was born on March 29, 1947, in Orange, Texas, USA. Kimball's distinctive voice was a key element of Toto's sound, and he sang on many of the band's hits, including "Hold the Line," "Rosanna," and "Africa." He left Toto in the late 1980s but later rejoined the band for various periods. Outside of Toto, Kimball has also released solo albums and collaborated with other artists.

Luke and Paich should heva used this in court. They paid lot s of money for the name because jeff s ex says porcaro thought of it. But if indeed it was named after the dog, other story. Kimball was and is fantastic!

There are always two stories about the band name. First, the dog from Wizard of Oz, or Jeff Porcaro writing "In Toto" on the coverboxes of the tapes from their first recordings. Being Latin for Totally/Entirely
