Passat Cabin Light Retrofit in my 2016 Polo GT |Adding Ambient lights to my Polo

In this video, i retrofit the W8 Passat cabin light into my Polo GT
it's not a 100% straight fit, but with the help of a harness one can make it work, hence proper retrofit territory !

Nice video! Very vague doubt but what is the brand of the led festoon bulb that you had installed in the car before the cabin light upgrade? I drive a laura so that should explain why I’m asking for this

Considering installing it on my Skoda Octavia. The only problem is I only see it with red lights, and the Octavia uses green lights on all the buttons. Do you know if it can be easily changed or if any model is sold with green lights?

There is no model sold with green lights, unfortunately the production of this cabin light has seized globally. Only used ones can be sourced now from sites like ebay

Been driving with it for a month now, experienced bad roads at heavy speeds as well, it's all good. It will not pop out randomly. (I had the same concern earlier)

Check the connection with headlight switch connector and try giving the wire going to headlight switch connector 12v seperately, if it doesn't help, chances are that wire leading to your 6 pin connector is broken in the middle somewhere or your LEDs have blown(which is very rare)
