Beautiful work! I love your newest sweater the best of all of them, though it was difficult to choose because they're all gorgeous. Your mom is clearly talented too. I love the design and material of the tank top she made, which is one of my favorite colors. I'm a crocheter, used to knit - like you, taught as a child, picked it up again in my late 20's when I was a stay at home mom to two toddlers and made a little cottage industry business of it. I toy with taking that up again but this time as a designer, rather than a pure maker. We'll see. I'm currently in the midst of making 9 blankets for Christmas gifts - 6 of 9 complete so far (one for every member of my hubby's family). I also have a table top loom which is still in its box. I'm forcing myself to leave it there until this massive Christmas project is done. So, yes, like you, I'm obsessed with knitwear. I'm fairly well accomplished with it, and I'm considering creating a channel where my niche will be design and teaching how to custom size those designs so people don't pour their hearts and time into a project only to be disappointed with the resulting fit. Good luck with your channel. I think you'll do well.
@@everystitch.counts Thank you, yes, it's a big project, but it's so rewarding to create these for our family, wrapping every stitch with a bit of love. I'm fortunate in that I have people in my life that do comprehend and appreciate the efforts that go into this type of gift.
Beautiful sweaters! Harrisville is actually a woolen mill, so all their yarns including Highland/Shetland are woolen spun. That’s what gives them that lovely airy fuzzy feel vs worsted spun yarns, which tend to be smoother, rounder, and heavier. Highland is worsted weight, though, so maybe that’s what you were thinking?
Good morning x I just found your channel. So impressed with the gorgoues, knitwear, presented. Good luck with your ideas, I'm sure all your wishes, shall undoubtedly come true. ❤
Oh my goodness thank you! ❤ so many fun things to learn and try. Hoping to film tomorrow and learn some new things with video editing. Shooting and putting the footage together is a skill all on its own and it’s TOTALLY new to me!
I just stumbled on your 1st podcast and it’s great. It’s always refreshing to find someone who willingly talks about their mistakes, foibles, and difficulties in their knitting journey. You do beautiful work. I’ve always wanted to do an overall cable sweater but have been too intimidated so far but you’ve definitely inspired me to try, so, I thank you.😊
I'm looking forward to more of your podcasts. I love your projects and am very excited to see more. I'm a lonely knitter in Arizona 😂. I haven't found my own knitting community here yet. Finding other knitters out there vlogging like you is like finding a friend. Thanks 👍
Well I’m happy you are here and out there trying to find the people! This was a lot of the motivation behind starting the channel and hopefully being a place for people to feel a bit of connection :) happy you are here :)
I'm glad you want to talk about your knitting. It's a great community to be involved with. Everyone has a different way to inspire each other. A suggestion I've done colourworķ patterns with German short rows after it. This way it lifts the back and doesn't interrupt the construction of the yoke. Onto your next episode.
Hi Charlotte! What a good first video! Thanks for showing us all your sweaters - your knitting is beautiful! I really look forward to seeing more. Best wishes!
Great first episode. Going for episode 2 now. Just wanted to congratulate you on your entry into the podcast world. I enjoy watching knitters from all over the world. It's gratifying to see the age range of happy knitters. Our craft will continue!!
Very lovely first podcast! The video quality was pretty low though, so we can't fully appretiate the lovely garments but keep up the good work!! i hope to see more from you!
Hey Charlotte! Loved this episode and all the knits that you shared. Thank you! I’m subscribing.👍 A fellow knitter, just south of you in Pierce County.😊❤
Congratulations on your first podcast. Well done! I’m also a new podcaster “The Island Lamb”. I started last October and like you just needed to talk about knitting! Have fun podcasting.
Thank you! We are totally compatible with our style and I really love how you talk about your knits. I look forward to watching again. And, yes! I love everything about knitting, wool and the industry. We even have a Sheepadoodle pup. 🐶
Congratulations on your new podcast, you did great! Don't you love Lambs Pride for a good workhorse yarn, especially at an affordable price. Lovely knits! Also, a precious story about your Grandma's sweater ❤
Oh my goodness this is so encouraging, thank you 🥹 I have two skeins of the Lambs Pride left and I’m thinking I want to do some toddler size vests with it for my friends sons!
Is there a way you can fill the screen with the picture? It kinda looks like an old tv show that doesn't fill the space. Great job on your knitting. I'm still trying to knit my first wearable sweater.
Haha that was in my list of new things to learn for the next video. My sister said she could help me fill the whole screen so it doesn’t look like that 😂 learning new things all the time :)
Thks for sharing. Loved it 💙
My pleasure 😊
I agree your sweaters are amazing.I look forward to seeing more of your videos

Hi! My name is Charlotte also, and I live in Olympia WA. I'm a crocheter, though, through and through! I wish you much success with your channel.
Thank you! I’m excited to learn and see where it goes from here :)
