I really love how short and to the point your videos are. A bunch of your knits are on my TBKs so now I want to get to them even faster. I find a lot of knitting podcasts are way too long and rabling. Your's is engaging, cute and just the right length! Can't wait for your next one and to see everything you knit in 2023.
I've been way too terrified to even consider colourwork but you're the only person I've heard talk about how much fun they had and now I'm a little less nervous to try!
Best of luck with your podcast. I look forward to more episodes. Please look into the camera instead of at yourself so we feel like you are talking to us!😊
I’ve just started my first ever colorwork sweater and I’m so inspired by all your colorwork sweaters!! Hoping I can get to that level one day 😤 the brown/cream lumme is just 👌🏻 chefs kiss
I just discovered your podcast and it’s so good! I really look forward to seeing more from you. I’m also a cable sweater girly but that lumme pullover is stunning, I might need one in an oatmeal and maroon color combo 🤔 I’m also a sucker for houndstooth and your design is gorgeous, a black and white houndstooth sweater would be to die for!
Just stumbled across your channel, I love your aesthetic! So cosy and gorgeous! I'm really hoping to get into colourwork so excited to hear your thoughts:) x
I love your cozy vibes. knits and coffee is all a cozy gal needs. the pattern choices and colorways you select are everything! I am a cable girlie too but I have attempting colorwork on my 2024 knitting goals, and you are the besttt inspiration 🤎
@@Knitsbylillian it’s so fun to expand our horizons and explore new techniques in the craft! when you said you were a cable girlie in the video I was like okay this is my kinda gal 😂💫🥰
Hi Lillian, You just popped up this morning on my TH-cam and I got reeled in because I loved the sweater you are wearing. I wasn't sure if it was the Lume sweater you listed in your notes. If I may make a suggestion that you provide links in your notes when listing the projects so we can just click on them and be taken there!!!!!😘The other thing that captivated me on your new vlog is your exquisite colorwork! You are a gifted knitter that I can be inspired from. I am just now venturing out trying new techniques after years of knitting but reluctant to creep out of my comfort zone. But as our lives change sometimes circumstances allow us to stretch out more and I think thats what has nudged me more out of my comfort zone. So colorwork is definitely in my future at some point now that I'm retired with time to focus on what I'm doing. If you are taking suggestions, I would love to hear your story on how you became the knitter you are at such a young age. Did you have a mentor that inspired you or did you just read books to propel you to your current knitting excellence? What are you up to when you aren't knitting? I watched your 1st episode to see if you provided any insight into your knitting excellence but didn't hear that backstory yet. Look forward to your next vlogcast!!!!!! Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay Area🥰❤🐕🐑🌹☕🧵🪡🧶
That brown white colorwork sweater is gorgeous! Also love your colorchoices. As a feedback, i think it could be helpful to have the pattern names written in the video, but i understand that this would also mean more work for you while editing. Btw. yeah lets be friends :) I'm currently quite into knitting socks, until now too afraid to start a sweater, and also bc of the costs and stuff. I do not know if you are into sock-knitting, but there are also a ton of colorwork-socks (i.e. from designers like Chatlotte Stone), maybe that would be something for you. Looking forward to further videos. Ps. I really like that u explain stuff like the short rows for people that are maybe quite new to knitting, as well quite encouraging to hear about your view on testknitting! Greetings
What lovely work. I love the sweater you are wearing so will head back to find that name. Also the colorwork sweater that you started with all the different colors was amazing! I just saw someone wearing something like that (it was most likely store bought) and I immediately wanted to try and find a pattern. I’d love to see how this one develops. I’ve never test knit before, but if that one continues to look amazing I’d love to test knit it (assuming it isn’t worsted weight, that’s just too heavy for my NM climate). What a fun podcast you have. Hope you keep it up.
Omg, your follower count exploded from when I joined yesterday! I love that for you. You inspired me to create my own instagram to track my knitting journey. I messaged you about a possible testknit because I just fell head over heels for that houndstooth sweater! ❤ I hope you channel keeps growing and I would love to see a 2023 knitting wrapup Video.
Gorgeous projects! I’m looking forward to your houndstooth sweater pattern! My daughter is named Lillian so your channel caught my eye. I work at my LYS so I have access to lots of different yarns.
I just found your channel and I love all the colorwork you shared😊 do you have any tips or tricks on how to read repeats in stranded color work specifically in a repeat based chart?
Ooh this is a great question I also find this tricky!! Honestly printing out the pattern was very helpful for me when I first started doing colorwork, I would figure out how many repeats of the section I needed to do and make a tally mark by the row number each time I completed a repeat. Kind of tedious but definitely helped me! 😂
Lillian I just purchased the same copper yarn for the Whitmoor Cardigan after seeing yours as it’s beautiful and wanted to ask where did you buy the buttons as it’s a perfect match? 🧡🧶
@@KnitsbylillianYes that’s the exact same buttons I found too but wanted to clarify on this video you said the yarn shade was the Copper and in your other video you said it was the Burnt Orange but to me it looks like the Copper if you could let me know? Thank you so much for responding with the link for the buttons! 🧡🧶👍🏼
First let me say wow what a fabulous knitter you are. I’m not trying to be mean hopefully it’s helpful you. Sometimes your sentence starts off strong then you trail and your voice goes down and you cover your mouth and become inaudible. I read people read lips often when I’m not sure what I hear was correct I’ll rewatch and watch the lips. I assume others do that as well. Especially if voice level is raised and lowered. Unfortunately, your voice isn’t always audible. We really want to hear everything you are saying and wish to say. ❤😊 When you trail off. If you speak up we can look up when you say you are showing something. You know what I mean, you watch others, lol😊😅😂😊🧶. Thanks so much O enjoyed very much and am a new subscriber.
Definitely not mean haha! I totally am guilty of this in real life as well 😂 I know it can be difficult for subtitles to capture as well so definitely something I will be mindful of in the future!
Just joined today! On the cuff of those items, work ribbing below the colorwork and turn it to the inside like a rolled neckline! Check out kulabra designs mittens!
WOW!! Your one fast knitter. I wish I could do colorwork that fast. It t a kes me so long to knit colorwork.
I really love how short and to the point your videos are. A bunch of your knits are on my TBKs so now I want to get to them even faster.

Amazing! So glad you liked it!!
Just two minutes into the video and I'm already just amazed by all your knitted pieces : the colors, the patterns, everything is just beautiful !
You’re so sweet thank you🥰🥰

Wauw wat een prachtige brei werken heb jij gemaakt 💕love it

Yay!! Honestly the first project is a little tough but after you figure out a good rhythm it’s SO satisfying!
Love the colour work!! I feel like I don’t see tons of podcast or TH-camrs really focus on this but it’s my favourite thing to knit!!
Best of luck with your podcast. I look forward to more episodes. Please look into the camera instead of at yourself so we feel like you are talking to us!😊
You remind me of a younger version of Mary-Louise Parker!❤ Enjoying your new channel & looking forward to more!
Awesome podcast! Look forward to seeing more of you and your knits!!
Yay thank you! I'm looking forward to making more!
Wow!!! All the beautiful knits! Just found your channel and subscribed. ❤

I love your cardigan, the color is really pretty, and it looks great on you.
You knit really fast, I enjoyed seeing all your projects.
Thanks you!!
Oooh! Your colorwork sweater is amazing! On the lookout for your test call!
Fabulous podcast!

A very fun episode. Love the colourwork but especially the mittens. Mittens are in my 2024 plans. Best wishes from My Wonderful Knitting Life podcast!

I love your colours in your colourwork jumper! You have such a great eye for colour.
Thank you!! I want to branch out to some more bright colors but the neutrals always looks so good!!
I always catch floats every 3 stitches no matter what

Oooo okay just found your channel and am loving it! Excited to see more

Great podcast and I'm loving your Whitmoor Cardigan (it really suits you)
Thank you!! The burnt orange is one of my favorite colors ever ☺️
I love the color changing idea for the collar. Your work is truly artistic! I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel. Happy Mew Year!!
Thank you!!
That white sweater is beautiful! What if you did a white collar with a tiny pop of one of the contrast colors?
Ooh that would be stunning!! I ended up just doing a white collar because I ran out of my contrast color lol

2-color brioche is easy-peasy, easier than 1-color, BTW.
I’ve heard this before! I’m going to have to give it another shot!
Please repeat source of pattern of sweater you were wearing? TaylorS? Couldn’t find it.
