The EcoDiesel isn't here yet but that doesn't stop the mods! My friend Corey picked up a Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper and Smittybilt X2O winch and popped over to the garage to install it. This went together a lot easier then I thought, probably because working on newer Jeeps means no rusted bolts.

I like the stamped look, its different from everyone else running steel bumpers or aftermarket welded plate. I would have sent the hooks out to be powder coated to match the red on his hood vinyl, personal aesthetic choice, but overall it added a nice simple and aggressive look while reusing the factory fogs. Hopefully it was budget friendly given the weight that could take a bit of a pounding in my neck of the woods, I'm 30mins from the Rubicon Trail and Fordyce Creek.

I really like big hooks on that bumper. They'd look really good powder coated red. Those hooks look like a warthog or a puma. Or some other imaginary creature. 😁
I did this same setup on my 2021 JT Willys. Lost an inch in front end height. Also, trying to get that air box back in place was a real trick, had to grease up the rubber plugs. Thanks for the video though, it really helped.

That bumper looks amazing and is way easier to install then the Warn winch bumper. Great job gentlemen.
Love your videos. I ordered the same bumper for my 21 Willys JLU but for some reason the winch plate doesn't fit. Seems the tabs are too wide. How did the fitment look when installing the winch plate?
looks great, maybe do a factor 55 link instead of the hook and not needing the zip tie. I have the same wince and love it on my JLUS
I loved everything about that setup except for the bolt on bull bar: only because somebody that doesn't know that it isn't a solid welded piece, could easily break it if you weren't right there to stop them (somebody backs into it, or ties off on it, etc). I got a similar, solid steel EAG bumper on Amazon for about $220, that I put on my Jeep, and I love it. Great video guys!!!
I thought about the same thing. With those monster hooks sticking up above the bumper, I think it looked pretty good with out the bar.

I'm a fan and considering this bumper. How much trouble would it be to paint those two giant hooks a different color considering they are already powder coated?
Are there any differences in terms of strength between RR Arcus and Mopar Steel bumper?

Hey man. About to pull the trigger on the Arcus front bumper for my 2021 JT. But website doesnt have the tubular overrider bar available for the Gladiator, only the stamped steel one. It only shows the tubular bar available for the Wrangler. I called them and asked why and was told it was because the tubular leans backwards towards grill but stamped steel one is straight up and down. I’ve watched just about every vid and looked at every photo i can find and it seems clear that the tubular
Overrider bar actually leans forward, and I cannot see any reason why it would not work on a Gladiator. From your install can you see any reason why the tubular overrider bar would not work on a Gladiator? Not holding you to anything, just curious your thoughts since you did the instal.

Rest assured, when my Jeep arrives there will be a huge vlog just about taking delivery. I am fingers crossed that it comes in next week and there is no health risks for the dealer to prepare it and for me to take delivery.
Rockhard 4x4 does make a winch plate that goes over the plastic bumper. I like the look of an aftermarket bumper with winch better though.

Nice, I have this color jeep. It definitely looks better in person. I get a lot of compliments. The bumpers are to bad, but that bumper isn't good though.

I’ve got the same bumper in my garage waiting to go on my Gladiator! Do you think a winch could be installed after the bumper without having to remove the bumper? I don’t have the winch yet and want to go ahead and put the bumper on
It's been a while since I install this but I think the answer is no as it is so tight to the grill that the bumper would need to be off to fit it in.
Looks good. Just need that lower skid and elephant tusks to be cut off! Not sure why jeep put those on in the first place. I guess it’s like the crash bar on JKU’s we all cut off. Can’t wait to see your new toy.
Ya - I will be evaluating hacking mine off. I am going with a stock bumper to start off. Really crossing my fingers I can bring home the EcoDiesel before things get worse, but it will be what it will be.
Can you please ask your bud if the fog lights illuminate the road properly? They are recessed so far back that it seems the road immediately in front won’t be lit. Thanks!

Your timing couldn't be better! My winch showed up today. Bumper hasn't shipped yet. Hope it gets to me before EVERYTHING is shut down. For that matter, hope your JL doesn't get hungup in transit!
BTW, skid plate is plastic on Rubicon.

The lower plastic "skidplate" is actually called a splash guard.

I have the rough country hydrid bumper, with d ring mounts, I like the look of those hooks, as long as they would fit.
Does rugged ridge sell the bumper hooks just by themselves?
I didn't see them, I wonder if they would sell them on their own if you contacted customer support. They would be cool to put on the rear and delete the entire bumper.
Casey 250 I contacted them to see if they had them atleast for the front, but I’ll make the suggestion about the rears.

Thanks for sending in your inquiry. Unfortunately the Arcus tow hooks are not available as a separate retail item at this time. I am unaware of any plans to make them a stand-alone part, however, it might be something that is done in the future so just keep any eye on our website for new product releases.

I love the stamped look bumper. The hooks are too giant for my taste. May get it anyway and cut the hooks down so they are just a d-ring mount.
Looks like you totally skipped installing the winch plate. I think that may be the hardest part.
