I have never understood why they had to limit the number of party members... having both Mical and Brianna is better than just one of them. I can understand why you cannot pair Mira and Hanharr on the same ship, but Brianna's backstory is sad and epic in the same time. Also, her fate at the end of Kotor 2 is one higher than when you meet her at the beginning.
I never understood why either. Mira and Hanharr made sense to split, but Brianna and Mical not so much. Perhaps it was just a matter of not having the time to implement new dialogue.
True, but it is not like they haven't done the possibility of a homosexual relationship (Juhani and Female Revan). Yeah, it would have been more work, but it would have offered a better experience.

Did they ever actually confirm that Brianna was Kreia's daughter? I know Chris Avellone (lead writer) said Kreia being arren kae was an interesting theory but I don't recall him ever confirming it...
It's sad such an interesting character isn't encountered if you play a female character for KOTOR 2. It makes me feel like Meetra Surik was *supposed* to be male but, it was decided otherwise. Of course, Brianna still exists and traveled with the Exile but it would've been better to have her rather than Mical in the game.
I did hear about a mod that restores two thing with Atrius. In one ther is an alternate path where she ends up accepting the fact she has fallen and turns the other daughters to the Dark Side before highjacking Tray's plans and becomes the villain. In another you can give her a second chance to make up for her actions and she joins the party.

AFAIK the mod still hasnt restored everything that was cut but even so you could tell just how amazing of a game kotor II couldve been if only theyd given obsidian the ressources and time to properly finish it. even in its (comparatively sorry) release state i thought it was one of the best EU story lines ive ever seen, with everything that got cut its easily my all time favorite star wars game. just imagine that exact story, unchanged, put on screen with the engine, cinematography and voice talent of a mass effect 2. my god.. the ultimate science fantasy space opera RPG. sadly, the window for that has passed i think. if they made a kotor 3 these days, or even just a remaster of the first 2, you know theyd be padded and stuffed with MMOesque content and mechanics, and full of microtransaction BS hiding half the companions and all the endgame stuff behind additional paywalls. sad times..
Obsidian always seems to get rushed by their publishers and it's sad. I believe it's why they only stick to making their own IP now due to how they got screwed over by Bithesda with New Vegas.
Sucks how these awesome stories are no longer canon, but the trashy sequels ARE. Seriously, put Brianna and Bastila up against Rey and Rose, and there is just no contest there!
GoTo honestly made the least sense as a companion. He's literally the one who put a bounty on the Exile and sent the HK droids after her and then he just accompanies the Exile but still has the bounty and the HKs coming to get her and it's blatantly obvious he's behind it. It makes little sense plot-wise

@@Highwayman21I made the same mistake before, it somewhat makes sense if you play as dark-side b/c then you can choose to serve the interests of the Exchange in Telos, Onderon, and Dantooine and he can reward you. If not, then it makes more sense to play Nar Shadaa as your 3rd planet rather than first--I always play Korriban last either way since it's the only one w/ no companions to recruit.
These videos are actually awesome. There’s 2 characters that really caught my attention though. Mission and I think the Wookies name is Zalbaar or something of that. I’d love to see videos of them in the future. (KOTOR 1）
It is interesting to note at 3:22 that the only difference between Brianna and her half-sisters is that she has two tiny braids...which links her to Kreia, who has two large ones.
So basically... despite it not being in the game outside of modding, the Handmaiden traveled with the female exile, dueled her, grew very close to her, and gave her her name and became a Jedi underneath her. Well then, I knew it always felt more natural when I modded it as the canon female Exile.
I always felt that felt more natural. But if that's the case, that would also make it canon that Atris felt jealous at how close Brianna and the Exile became. I remember strongly there was hints that Atris may have harbored deeper feelings for the Exile than she let on in that storyline specifically. So if that is canon, that means that Atris's potential feelings for the female Exile would also be canon, and Kreia's conversation about the deeper meaning behind Brianna and the Exile's sparring ritual as well. There's a LOT of things there that would then become canon and have many meanings and implications ^_^ Sad that BioWare didn't stick with that for the initial release, but in subsequent releases and fan made releases of the game, this being canon always did feel more natural to the characters. So it makes perfect sense ^_^
He’s actually a decent character. Problem is A LOT of his story was cut for time. The guy was literally the replacement story wise for Brianna. So he had a bunch of different opportunities. But, like most of 2, it was cut for time, and it was cut early. So not much could be fixed about it later, which is a shame. The kid was a former student of Meetra and chose to leave the force behind when Meetra left for war, and he saw no other master worthy of his apprenticeship.
Honestly the Disciple gives some interesting input but he's too rushed. He feels like more of a plot device than a serious character but he also illustrates the whole thing of how Kreia is manipulating people. If you've played through as a female, it comes out the Disciple actually knew who Kreia was but she used techniques to make him and other Jedi or padawans forget which she continues doing when he comes on board.
Brianna is a interesting character from Knights of the old Republic but i know little about her since it was before my time before the Original Trilogy.
My friend great video as always, I wasn't expecting you to do Brianna right now but it was only a matter of time. Forgive me as always but i have to, in Darthycey's videos on Meetra Surik Brianna stowed aboard the Ebon Hawk after they left Telos. After Meetra's argument with Atris about her following Revan during the Mandalorian wars Brianna offered to help them find the missing Jedi Masters. The part of Brianna changing into those grey Jedi robes is when Meetra said to her " I respect your oath but you are no longer in the Telos academy while you travel on this ship you don't have to wear the clothes of your sisters, I can see no fault in your reasons I do have bulk gear clothes." Then Brianna told her about her mother but before that happened Kreia complaint to Surik that she was spending to much time with the servant of Atris and told her about Brianna 's father. After Kreia killed the Jedi Masters and everybody thought Meetra was dead she had Brianna take her to Atris, now when they returned to Telos Brianna tried to explain that she was only following her Mistresses orders to follow the Exile. Atris was furious with her for breaking her oath to her and had her sisters attack her, you said Brianna held them off well but in Darthycey's videos her sisters beat her to a pulp while Atris and Kreia watched. Atris had her thrown in a force cage until the others arrived trying to rescue her but failed. After Meetra defeated Atris and freed the others is when she finally revealed her true name " I'm the last of the handmaidens no more, I am Brianna disciple of the Jedi." The rest of what you said did happen Brianna stayed behind on Dantoonie with the others to rebuild the Jedi order while Meetra Surik went off to find Revan. George

The current Star Wars Old Republic movies I'm seeing with the hero of Tython and the Republic the Outlander's exploits before facing the Eternal Throne has exceeded even Revan. The adventures of the Outlander before the Eternal Throne and afterwards are fascinating. George

She’s my favorite companion in the game. I always make sure I give her the white robes and the double bladed light saber with a blue crystal. It really goes well together.
I find it Gratifying to know that after being deemed a product of 'Shameful Passions' from birth, Brianna moves past that to become a Noble Warrior with Self Respect and a Wise Historian that sees the truth of the Force. An Impressive feat for someone to be deemed 'The Last of the Handmaidens'.
I like how you try and say Meetra discovered this, but it’s just not true. Meetra discovered the Handmaiden after Brianna exposed herself and arrested Kriea lore wise. The Male Exile had to do all this.

Interesting, it was said that star wars had few strong female characters. Apparently those who felt this way did not play this game. Even with a male lead this game had some of the coolest sw female characters EVER.

just went over your character explained playlist and I am surprised that with all the Kotor 1 and two character, Malak is not on the list. Granted he is not a complicated character as even when be took over Revan's Empire, he was still overshadowed by the legacy of his master as he had no grand ambition other than ruling the galaxy.
I do have one question for You will You be doing a break down on Ulic Qel-Droma, I am an amateur historian of The Tales of The Jedi and The Old Republic, I find Your information quite indepth and wished to ask possibly upon Ulic and to give My Thanks for Your Hard work.
New history, between the death of Yusanis and joining Atris, the handmaidens helped out the Echani world's with stability. And then they found Atris who helped them, and they slowly became loyal to her. Then at the end of the Jedi Civil War before Dantooine was bombarded they helped her move the artifacts to Telos, then we know the rest.
After seeing "the scoundrel's cantina" homophobic, transphobic, and honestly hateful video, this channel gave me so much hope for the star wars fandom. I must disagree with one thing. She wasn't sent to investigate the destruction of Peragus. She and her sisters were told to look after "Harbinger", during his journey from Onderon to Telos. "Mistress, this is our failing. The Harbinger was lost in transit." Otherwise great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Cut content was cut for a reason :D Atris simply leaked the Exiles Identity to draw out the Sith! the Republic, Carth in this instance redirected the actual harbinger to pick her up. Atris did not know at this point she was alive, or even in republic space. But, when the harbinger was sent out, the handmaidens were aware of it's diversion but not the information hence their 'failing'. So, with the Harbingers disappearance, the Peragus' destruction, and that the suspect was being held accountable on Telos, Atris needed answers, and sent Brianna to investigate the events surrounding it, starting with Peragus. Which led her to the Ebon Hawk and Brianna stole the ship intending to gain information while Meetra was locked away and couldn't be reached, but there was none on the ship. Atris never intended to meet the Exile again, her existence was simply bait to draw out Nihilus just like she did on Katarr. It was happenstance she made it to the Telos academy. I hope that clears things up for you!
If they ever do something with the Mandolorian wars, they have to use her father Yusanis. Heck he could be the main character of a story that starts right before the Mandolorian Wars and end with his death fighting Revan 1 on 1.

I know the Canon is a female exile. But storywise in kotor 2 it is way better with a male exile. Briana Also mention that she understands her mothers choice because she feels the same thing about the male exile. Because that she fell in love with the exile
I think a remastered version of this game should be made! I also think if they do that, you should be able to recruit both Handmaiden and Disciple on either gender avatar’s route! That would be so freaking cool as they are my two favorite characters in this game, next to Mira. I’m also curious what kind of conversations those two would have. Who’s with me on that?
I know that Revan even confronted the Emperor and was imprisoned for 300 years but did Metra ever catch up to him or am I just forgetting that part if the book?
This is why the Exile should have been canonically male, and dark-sided. Brianna is easily the best character to train as your apprentice, but she only travels with a male Exile. Her back story is way too deep to just be another Handmaiden, which she pretty much is in a female Exile playthrough. It also makes the confrontation with Atris far more dramatic, in that she fights her snobby sisters just before that, stunning them if light-sided, killing them if dark-sided. Her renunciation of Atris, and pledging loyalty to the Exile is also the perfect catalyst for Atris's fall to the dark side. Same goes for Hanharr, his tragic back story and his philosophies on strength are far too in depth for just another bounty hunter killed on Nar Shaddaa, he's far more interesting than Mira. A Light side playthrough is probably more satisfying as a female Exile. But a Dark side Male Exile is easily the best way to play this game, in my opinion.

I had a book long time ago and it claimed Brianna killed Darth nihlus. Or was rumored to, I know I'm not the only one to have seen that. Itv called her very very powerful force sensitive.
@@100StarWars no, you gave us the kotr2 story, this book was an official star wars all things star wars. It came out around 2005, it had everything, all vehicles, all slight sabers, all jedi all sith and abilities, and it stated this when it was talking about the entire star wars time-line, that where I first learned of the sith bomb. So apparently you don't have everything 100% star wars. I'm not arguing, I just think its a very unique look, but it was a big book. Coffee table book. I'm looking to see if I can find it now but it does exist, I'm thinking it was a Lucas arts edition too, .it also had a different back story for visas Mars too and reven.
I think a film would have too much of a time constraint to fully tell the story, so I'd rather it be in a medium that can cover a lot of ground such as a game, book or show!

With the being rushed to be finished they didn't have Mical and Brianna together, from what I was told at the time is that the writers wanted a romance feeling to the game.

My friend Star Wars Rogue One is back in the news again with screenwriter/filmmaker Tony Gilroy saying the movie was a terrible mess when he came to direct the reshoots. I know from the early trailers of Rogue One back in 2016 what was shown was not in the original movie. " state your name for the record Jyn Erso, this a rebellion isn't it? I rebelle." Other scenes especially a Tie Fighter approaching her as she's about to transmit the plans. When you enter the room where they train there are like 4 there and then agian in the hallway there are 2 near the exit and if I'm not mistaking you can meet Brianna in 2 of the rooms, maybe they just did it like this so the rooms don't feel empty and they make you feel that the handmaidens are moving around and doing stuff...
I was so mistaken.... I always though there were more but I remember when you fight in the training room the others join in to watch so I might have confused the numbers a little bit...

They did not have to necessarily make much dialogue between them. It was enough to just allow an extra party member slot.

Brianna and Atton were my favorite party members in Kotor 2 mostly cause I found there backstory's intresting
So basically... despite it not being in the game outside of modding, the Handmaiden traveled with the female exile, dueled her, grew very close to her, and gave her her name and became a Jedi underneath her.
Well then, I knew it always felt more natural when I modded it as the canon female Exile.
That is correct yes!
I always felt that felt more natural.
But if that's the case, that would also make it canon that Atris felt jealous at how close Brianna and the Exile became. I remember strongly there was hints that Atris may have harbored deeper feelings for the Exile than she let on in that storyline specifically.
So if that is canon, that means that Atris's potential feelings for the female Exile would also be canon, and Kreia's conversation about the deeper meaning behind Brianna and the Exile's sparring ritual as well.
There's a LOT of things there that would then become canon and have many meanings and implications ^_^ Sad that BioWare didn't stick with that for the initial release, but in subsequent releases and fan made releases of the game, this being canon always did feel more natural to the characters. So it makes perfect sense ^_^
It just adds a lot more depth to the story and its characters! (if it could get any deeper)

I'd like to see you explain why the Disciple is such an awful character.
I don't think he's thaaaat bad.
He’s actually a decent character. Problem is A LOT of his story was cut for time. The guy was literally the replacement story wise for Brianna. So he had a bunch of different opportunities. But, like most of 2, it was cut for time, and it was cut early. So not much could be fixed about it later, which is a shame. The kid was a former student of Meetra and chose to leave the force behind when Meetra left for war, and he saw no other master worthy of his apprenticeship.
Honestly the Disciple gives some interesting input but he's too rushed. He feels like more of a plot device than a serious character but he also illustrates the whole thing of how Kreia is manipulating people. If you've played through as a female, it comes out the Disciple actually knew who Kreia was but she used techniques to make him and other Jedi or padawans forget which she continues doing when he comes on board.

Brianna is a interesting character from Knights of the old Republic but i know little about her since it was before my time before the Original Trilogy.

My friend great video as always, I wasn't expecting you to do Brianna right now but it was only a matter of time. Forgive me as always but i have to, in Darthycey's videos on Meetra Surik Brianna stowed aboard the Ebon Hawk after they left Telos. After Meetra's argument with Atris about her following Revan during the Mandalorian wars Brianna offered to help them find the missing Jedi Masters. The part of Brianna changing into those grey Jedi robes is when Meetra said to her " I respect your oath but you are no longer in the Telos academy while you travel on this ship you don't have to wear the clothes of your sisters, I can see no fault in your reasons I do have bulk gear clothes." Then Brianna told her about her mother but before that happened Kreia complaint to Surik that she was spending to much time with the servant of Atris and told her about Brianna 's father. After Kreia killed the Jedi Masters and everybody thought Meetra was dead she had Brianna take her to Atris, now when they returned to Telos Brianna tried to explain that she was only following her Mistresses orders to follow the Exile. Atris was furious with her for breaking her oath to her and had her sisters attack her, you said Brianna held them off well but in Darthycey's videos her sisters beat her to a pulp while Atris and Kreia watched. Atris had her thrown in a force cage until the others arrived trying to rescue her but failed. After Meetra defeated Atris and freed the others is when she finally revealed her true name " I'm the last of the handmaidens no more, I am Brianna disciple of the Jedi." The rest of what you said did happen Brianna stayed behind on Dantoonie with the others to rebuild the Jedi order while Meetra Surik went off to find Revan. George

The current Star Wars Old Republic movies I'm seeing with the hero of Tython and the Republic the Outlander's exploits before facing the Eternal Throne has exceeded even Revan. The adventures of the Outlander before the Eternal Throne and afterwards are fascinating. George

She’s my favorite companion in the game. I always make sure I give her the white robes and the double bladed light saber with a blue crystal. It really goes well together.

I find it Gratifying to know that after being deemed a product of 'Shameful Passions' from birth, Brianna moves past that to become a Noble Warrior with Self Respect and a Wise Historian that sees the truth of the Force.

I like how you try and say Meetra discovered this, but it’s just not true. Meetra discovered the Handmaiden after Brianna exposed herself and arrested Kriea lore wise. The Male Exile had to do all this.
I love Brianna. My favorite KOTOR2 character for sure, and honestly, one of the best Star Wars characters out there. :)

Interesting, it was said that star wars had few strong female characters. Apparently those who felt this way did not play this game. Even with a male lead this game had some of the coolest sw female characters EVER.
Let alone read the novels and comics, if not the other video games. Have they not have heard of Nomi and Vima Sunrider, the Dark Woman, Darth Zannah, Jaina Solo, and so much more?

just went over your character explained playlist and I am surprised that with all the Kotor 1 and two character, Malak is not on the list. Granted he is not a complicated character as even when be took over Revan's Empire, he was still overshadowed by the legacy of his master as he had no grand ambition other than ruling the galaxy.
I do intend to do Malak. There's just a lot of work that'll go into what would be a series for him and I'm not quite ready for that commitment.

One Star Wars's character I've never heard of. I like the name.
New history, between the death of Yusanis and joining Atris, the handmaidens helped out the Echani world's with stability. And then they found Atris who helped them, and they slowly became loyal to her. Then at the end of the Jedi Civil War before Dantooine was bombarded they helped her move the artifacts to Telos, then we know the rest.
I wish there was a mod which allowed you to have both her and Mikel in the party

I must disagree with one thing. She wasn't sent to investigate the destruction of Peragus. She and her sisters were told to look after "Harbinger", during his journey from Onderon to Telos.
"Mistress, this is our failing. The Harbinger was lost in transit."

Cut content was cut for a reason :D Atris simply leaked the Exiles Identity to draw out the Sith! the Republic, Carth in this instance redirected the actual harbinger to pick her up. Atris did not know at this point she was alive, or even in republic space. But, when the harbinger was sent out, the handmaidens were aware of it's diversion but not the information hence their 'failing'.
So, with the Harbingers disappearance, the Peragus' destruction, and that the suspect was being held accountable on Telos, Atris needed answers, and sent Brianna to investigate the events surrounding it, starting with Peragus. Which led her to the Ebon Hawk and Brianna stole the ship intending to gain information while Meetra was locked away and couldn't be reached, but there was none on the ship.
Atris never intended to meet the Exile again, her existence was simply bait to draw out Nihilus just like she did on Katarr. It was happenstance she made it to the Telos academy.

Honestly the echani are a sadly forgotten race that was my favorite part of kotor. They, to me, were the equal and opposite of the mandalorians.
If they ever do something with the Mandolorian wars, they have to use her father Yusanis.
Heck he could be the main character of a story that starts right before the Mandolorian Wars and end with his death fighting Revan 1 on 1.

I know the Canon is a female exile. But storywise in kotor 2 it is way better with a male exile. Briana Also mention that she understands her mothers choice because she feels the same thing about the male exile. Because that she fell in love with the exile

This is why the Exile should have been canonically male, and dark-sided.
Brianna is easily the best character to train as your apprentice, but she only travels with a male Exile.
Her back story is way too deep to just be another Handmaiden, which she pretty much is in a female Exile playthrough. It also makes the confrontation with Atris far more dramatic, in that she fights her snobby sisters just before that, stunning them if light-sided, killing them if dark-sided.
Her renunciation of Atris, and pledging loyalty to the Exile is also the perfect catalyst for Atris's fall to the dark side.
Same goes for Hanharr, his tragic back story and his philosophies on strength are far too in depth for just another bounty hunter killed on Nar Shaddaa, he's far more interesting than Mira.
A Light side playthrough is probably more satisfying as a female Exile.
But a Dark side Male Exile is easily the best way to play this game, in my opinion.
Canonically, Brianna travels regardless of the gender :)

I had a book long time ago and it claimed Brianna killed Darth nihlus. Or was rumored to, I know I'm not the only one to have seen that. Itv called her very very powerful force sensitive.

@@100StarWars no, you gave us the kotr2 story, this book was an official star wars all things star wars. It came out around 2005, it had everything, all vehicles, all slight sabers, all jedi all sith and abilities, and it stated this when it was talking about the entire star wars time-line, that where I first learned of the sith bomb. So apparently you don't have everything 100% star wars. I'm not arguing, I just think its a very unique look, but it was a big book. Coffee table book. I'm looking to see if I can find it now but it does exist, I'm thinking it was a Lucas arts edition too, .it also had a different back story for visas Mars too and reven.

I think a film would have too much of a time constraint to fully tell the story, so I'd rather it be in a medium that can cover a lot of ground such as a game, book or show!

Aside from her judgement by Meetra's Jedi Order, no.
With the being rushed to be finished they didn't have Mical and Brianna together, from what I was told at the time is that the writers wanted a romance feeling to the game.
They were mean't to travel together but they split them up for financial reasons.

My friend Star Wars Rogue One is back in the news again with screenwriter/filmmaker Tony Gilroy saying the movie was a terrible mess when he came to direct the reshoots. I know from the early trailers of Rogue One back in 2016 what was shown was not in the original movie. " state your name for the record Jyn Erso, this a rebellion isn't it? I rebelle." Other scenes especially a Tie Fighter approaching her as she's about to transmit the plans. You know I love the movie so the questions i have is what Gareth Edwards originally directed so bad and does this Tony Gilroy deserve credit for saving the movie or regardless of the reshoots is this still Gareth Edwards movie? I always wondered how are there 5 sisters when in game there are like 20 or so... Idk why but the lore doesn't support the "gameplay" aspect.

I honestly have no idea right now. When you enter the room where they train there are like 4 there and then agian in the hallway there are 2 near the exit and if I'm not mistaking you can meet Brianna in 2 of the rooms, maybe they just did it like this so the rooms don't feel empty and they make you feel that the handmaidens are moving around and doing stuff...
There are two guarding the council chamber, 2 inside a control room, 1 standing by herself and Brianna is in the training room!
I was so mistaken.... I always though there were more but I remember when you fight in the training room the others join in to watch so I might have confused the numbers a little bit...
I absolutely LOVE the appearance of the Handmaiden used here. Her in-game texture makes her look too old and isn't fitting in my opinion
