    The denman brush side has way more separated and defined natural looking curls while the other side has more of a ringlet/spiral kind of situation going on. Both beautiful looks it just depends on the style you’re going for!!

      My hair has more naturally spiral type of curls but I can never get the definition I want in my roots, I did it today but maybe I didn’t get any cause I did condition my hair and put product into my scalp instead of what others say only adding it to the hair, any advice?

    This was my first time watching a video of yours, and I was NOT EXPECTING THAT VOLUME AT THE END! I know you said you usually like more volume, but dang! My hair is thin and fine and does NOT become that big and voluminous when dry! Your hair is gorgeous! Also, thank you for doing this because I've been wanting to try the Denman, but now I'm tempted to just try the Tangle Teezer wet detangler!

      Have you tried defusing and using lighter products? I find more volume when I have less product in my hair but that's also a trade in -volume instead of definition lol

    I tried using my tangle teezer to style my hair oncr and it gave me perfect ringlets...like i finger coiled it. I now use it during quarantine to train my transitioning hair when im too lazy to finger coil and its rlly amazing.💗💗

    • @aloo597
      @aloo597 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      what hair type do you have? I have 2a-2b hair so idk whether I’d rather buy a denman or tangle teezer

    • @maryamzahir3948
      @maryamzahir3948 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@aloo597 i have 2c/3a hair, but it can rlly be manipulated, so i can get tighter curls or waves depending on what i do to it. My hair was just rlly heat damaged because i thought it had to be straight for it to look good. Im still transitioning and my hair is still kinda heat damaged but ive learned how to take care of it and style it so it looks rlly good now. I would recomend u buy both and see what works best for u becasue everyones hair is different. And they're not that expencive so u can try them both out.

    Every time I have a question about hair (today was which brush I should buy Denman or. Tangle Teezer) you always have an answer/video about it! You’ve been SO HELPFUL! I’m starting my hair journey after YEARS of heat damage. I used to have the same curls as you and want them back. I love natural hair and miss it so much. It’s almost like you’re with me on my hair journey and I’m so grateful! So happy I found your channel☺️

  • @kutjegodverdomme
    @kutjegodverdomme 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I think it's because you use a different technique. I used the Denman brush like you did (turn it over the brush twice) and it didnt look great. It looked better when I started using it like you used to tangle teazer (only turning the hair over the brush once). You should try that! I find that turning it over the brush again, ruins the curl.

    when your hair was 50% dry and you said the tangle teaser side was a little flatter at the top than the denman side I did notice when you put the Veda creamin Aveda styling cream in you inadvertently put it up an inch higher than when you put it on the denman side because when you put it on the denman side you made a note how not to put it up too high by the top of your head because it'll make it flatter. not trying to be picky but I completely believe that that extra inch or so of the cream on the tangle teezer side is what made it flatter when it was 50% dry. great video it was really fun.

    I see a clear difference. There's more frizz on the tangle teaser side though I do like the spirals verses the clearly defined ringlets with more strands on the Denman side. Great idea though. Thank you. The difference I see in brushes is the amount of bristles. More bristles creates more spiral effect as it pulls on the hair more, kind of like creating curls with wrapping string on gifts. Denman just goes with the "flow" of natural hair tendency. Really enjoyed review, thank you. Smiles and blessings...

    Hi Jayme Jo, I have been watching your videos since I decided to go back to my natural curly hair this year (in lockdown) - you've been so helpful, thank you! Is your Tangle Teaser detangler brush the regular size or the large size please? (Love the Shrek line you quoted by the way, haha!) Thank you!

    try using vertical hair parts instead of horizontal, like Manes by Mel shows in her video in the denman brush. I think it will give you better results :)

    While perfect sausage curls are awesome, they look too neat for me. I prefer the slightly messy, frizzed curls look. Your hair is making my super soft, not as defined curls very jealous! Thanks for the comparison vid!

    i have the same curl pattern and i can’t get the top of my hair to curl as much as i’d like. can you do a video on methods to get the top of your hair to curl as much (or almost as much) as the bottom?

      try finger coils to train them how to curl, make sure you hair is wet and has slip x hope it goes well !!

    You should be brushing your hair under 90° angle (straight up from the root ⬆️ and on the sides ⬅️ right & left ➡️ to get the most volume. Because you're still pulling your hair downwards comparing the root (not sure if the word is right English is not my first language, but I'm visiting Australia right now and trying to improve all the time). So think like you'd been electrocuted and your hair is straight from root to the ends ⚡😁. It's easier to do if you also turn your head down if you do the top part, that way your hands don't need to go up in the ceiling 🥰🥰

    Hey Jayme, I love your videos, I was just wondering if you could please review the maui moisture curl quench products, they are the only ones available in my region for curly hair and I would really appreciate a video about it, thank you so much. I am the same ethnicity as you, leb squaddd. I feel sorry for the people who keep commenting that your hair is a perm because it's obvious that it isn't, I'm Lebanese and my hair is just like yours, my family's hair is curly as well. these people need to chill and stop coming for your hair cuz it's clearly real ethnic hair. Anyways, sorry for my rant, love you!!!

    I want to have „thicker“ curls so that my hair i not separated into thin parts. So I don’t know which brush I should use, which is not separating my hair too much. Maybe the 3 row Denman Brush would be better for my hair than the 9 row brush?

    i literally have a brush thats like 15 years old that has almost the exact same proportions to a denman brush. bristles are very rigid but have some flex. for those who might want to find it, it's from a brand called "KENT"

    I live in Melbourne and I did manage to find the Denman brush here! I got mine at the Hairhouse Warehouse chapel street outlet at south yarra. However I did realise not all outlets have them so I was just really lucky that day that i spotted it while window shopping! It is pricey tho I think it was about 37 dollars I can't really remember.
