The back is actually made from the same material that Kevlar is, so it should be extremely durable. I've had mine for a few months now and I love it.

@@bjperez9076 i think its a good camera. It certainly didn't have the top specs but it does a good job. It's a hard question for me to answer because i use it for snapshots. When I'm purposefully taking photos I use a camera with interchangeable lenses. I'm completely satisfied with the pics i get from the phone. And i love the phone. It's being regularly updated and it's fast and fluid. It has great battery life and recharges quickly. I haven't had a single glitch with the phone. I think Moto has really upped their game!

I may be a bit of an oddity but I much prefer Moto's UI and features over Google Pixel stock Android and all I wanted was a Moto phone with symmetrical bezels and no curved edges and now I have it. Definitely my "perfect" phone. Also, they do still have swipe to split on it. Great Review!

Ready For is great for those who despise typing on a tiny phone screen keyboard. Being able to send SMS texts, use Signal, etc. with a real keyboard is a big deal. And more businesses are putting all of their dev improvements into mobile apps (vs their web sites).

I have to correct you, the TrackPoint (or red nipple as you call it ;) ) is actually a very important selling point for me in ThinkPads. I can use the mouse without ever taking my hands of the keyboard. It also allows for more precise movements (imho) than what is possible with the trackpad. I think you will find that many who use ThinkPads willingly (that is, not given to them by corporate IT) will list the TrackPoint as one of the most essential features, and not because of how it looks.
It is no wonder then, that Lenovo sells separate USB and wireless keyboards that have the TrackPoint integrated!

    • @Catbus-Driver
      @Catbus-Driver 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

You can be much more precise and accurate by mapping cursor movement over a large range of motion when compared to a small range. That's unarguable, not something you can debate. Trackpoints are cool, but to say it allows more precise movement is just false on every level.

  • @GiuseppeGaetanoSabatelli

I wish the red button could dynamically map to the camera shutter when in camera mode or at least landscape. Lol.
You can "disable" it in landscape, so it's definitely something they could have done.

Just bought one direct from Motorola for $345 US. Replacing my pixel 3a but not decided not to fix the screen for the third time @$100. This phone is built to be durable and you should have mentioned that a bit more with it's military specs. Nice review.
You're right, i don't use READY FOR at all. Although if I did alot typing in apps I would be down with it.
Personally I would gladly trade READY FOR in for a proper always-on-display, IR blaster and second space.
The thinkphone's 68 watt charging is fantastic and puts Samsung apple and Google to shame.
The camera is pretty darn good for Motorola but its a level down from the Pixel. You're right the video is excellent. I think it does very well in low light as well. The 2x digital zoom is the weak link..at best its ok.
The pro mode is actually very good and i encourage anyone with this phone to start playing with it.
Haptics flat out suck. What happened Motorola??
Amazingly the thinkphone has fantastic talk to text. Its faster and more accurate than the Pixel 7. Also does call screening too.
Gaming is a breeze and yeah this screen is basically bezel less
The UI is definitely not up to speed with the big boys but its not bad. Things like customizing wallpapers or Bluetooth interface with other devices leave a somewhat bad taste in the mouth. Really you're just reminded it's a Motorola.
Bottom line ...there's nothing that can touch this phones value in the $400 segment

I could have it and my iPhone next to each other iPhone no signal blackberry 2 bars and able to transmit data also. The Q10 was and will always be the best phone I have ever used and small enough to flip in between my fingers but not drop it because of that mat glass weave back and it was perfectly weighted
