I think so too I mean my step has treated me more like their own flesh and blood then my biological mom that’s why I always either play revelation or conquest I can’t bare to kill my siblings that’s arnt related to me
This scene, coupled with Corrin seeing his/her dead friends and siblings before the final battle, made me break down crying so much. I hated seeing anyone die in the games and having forced deaths made me hurt more. Elise, Xander, Kaze (if you don’t get him to support A before that moment), Scarlet (in Revelations), Ryoma, etc. made me hurt so much. Of all the deaths in the game, Ryoma and Xander’s deaths hit me hardest
Holy shit that lethality was _perfect_ It really made it feel like he gave up at the end there. Just. God. Compelled by his duty forcing him to fight his sister, to have his littlest sister unintentionally die by his hand trying to stop him, then to watch his retainers desperately try to save him and for everything to fall apart into bloodshed. Of course he lost his resolve. His feelings were too overwhelming to put aside anymore- it was really like he just let her run him through. To end it once and for all.
The only thing that could've made that all the worse is if inigo/laslow happened to be lucina's brother and chrom and lucina get word about a dragon that had just tore a bloody path through nohr being responsible for his death...
Xander always ticked me off so much in this scene. Being like, "yeah, my sister just sacrificed herself to try and end this conflict but I'm still going to do exactly what she didn't want me to do for no apparent reason."
I mean, in fairness to him he likely wasn't planning to walk away alive from this fight, and the fact that he just killed his youngest sister by accident probably pushed him firmly into "die in battle" territory
Minato Arisato To think I did it first because Xander is my favourite character (no hate please haha, the game destroyed him, except in his supports which are dope) and I didn't want to fight him in my last games... And I didn't even finish all three games, shame on me
@@roleemack1535 It’s a pity that Izana and Scarlet had to sacrifice their lives in Revelation. Could’ve been better but the story was fun and the gameplay is awesome!
still not over elise's death. she's by far the sweetest fire emblem character and watching her die after playing through conquest and falling in love with the character was awful
My reaction to Elise’s death even if I was in the game fighting alongside Corrin: “ELISE! NOOOOOOOOO!” *Cries loudly with major sadness for Elise* then *in an enraged voice facing Xander* “WILL KILL KING GARON FOR ALL THE CORRUPTION HE’S PUT INTO YOU & FOR TAKING MY BELOVED ELISE FROM ME!” (I love Elise more than any fire emblem character. I even married her in the conquest game. I also played Conquest first. Seeing her die in this story makes me cry of sadness & rage)
This alone caused me to pick Conquest over Birthright when this game first came out...and then having to kill *Inigo* just left a horrific taste in my mouth.
Even though this route has the least death's, it's just as tragic imo... Hearing Xander break up over Elise, setting her limp body down... It fucking destroys me...
I felt deeper connection with the Nohrian family than Hoshido. Maybe because I played Conquest first, followed by Birthrights. The saddest story was Elise, when she left the castle because she is seeing her whole family structure crumbles, and she just wanted everyone to be like we used to, and that is really hit me when I played Birthright. Her death made me cried so hard.
@@mysteriouscee1086 Ik...Elise is a good sister..I never see a sibling betray the other sibling...And the other sibling protects...That is hard for a sibling.. I can feel Xander's pain right now..
TheJaredPunch yes but in Fates you have to deal at least 1 damage to trigger it. But thematically you are correct. Xander gave up fighting after Elise died. He let go and was done fighting Corrin, and only continued for thematics
I’m glad that revelations is an option, both families deserve a happy ending, most of the time I play revelations more than the other two routes. Izana and Scarlet’s sacrifices won’t be in vain.
I found Xander a little stupid in this chapter. I mean he saw what her sister did and he heard what she had to say to him but NO I have to fight for my kingdom! Is not like my father has become a psychopath! This is all Corrin's fault for not choosing us. Like seriously dude, your sister just died and she wanted peace. You didn't do what she wanted after she dying. This would have been easier if you could have like IDK tried to spy your father to see if he is really crazy. Seriously I don't like Xander in this. If there is something I missed from this just tell me so I can understand more.
As soon as Elise died he knew he couldn't live with himself, so he let Corrin kill him. That's why he didn't want his retainers to join the fight. Tbh it is still selfish for him to put that burden on Corrin, but it is at least sympathetic.

True
Seeing xander cry is one of the hardest things in the series.
and Xander telling you not to cry after THAT (I couldn't, I cried like a baby)
What hurts most is that Camilla called her the light of Nohr.
When a Nohrian doesn't trigger Oboro, you know they're special
Corrin in the cutscene: "He's too strong"
Corrin in battle: " I like ur cut, G"
I actually cried so much at this scene
Fire Emblem always makes people cry. All entries. If Fire Emblem is the main title, don’t expect to get through the entire game with a dry eye.
