I've never understood why the male cannot just guard the nest while the female is eating out or what not - but that's just my human brain trying to understand something I'm not supposed to 😂 This is highly addicting to watch! Nature's own soap opera 🤩 haha
@@andrewkreder-oy5qq ooops haha :D I guess the grammatically correct way is "to eat outside the nest"? But who knows, maybe she's having a girls night out!
The part with the starling was horrifying. It must've been extremely stressful for her to be attacked like that. At least it couldn't get into where she was.
We used to get a bird nest built every year right outside my bedroom window in the rain gutter. Then, several of my neighbors brought in feral cats to our area. I saw a cat on my roof which is over my garage and I can climb out that window onto that part of the roof. I haven't had another nest for maybe ten years. I dont know how to encourage another nest to be built there. Put nesting supplies there maybe?
Not much you can do I'm afraid other than try to deter the cats which is hard done tbh. sometimes nesting sites do stop being used, you could try putting up a few different nestboxes perhaps !
There is something about these nesting bird video's that fascinate me and make me smile.
I feel so bad for poor Biddy. There's always something working against her being successful. I hope it all works out for her in the end.

Amazing stuff.
Such drama! Poor Biddy just can't catch a break.

I would be defensive of your original birds. I appreciate your explanation of the differences with the birds.
You can buy predators guards so birds like starlings, racoons, etc cannot reach them. I have them on all of my bluebirds houses, they are lifesavers.
I was almost torn apart from the tension you have to be very special to shoot a video about something like that and then post it.
It would be so hard for me to get anything done if this was my camera and bird nest box.
Your telling me !
Is that Myna attacking her nest?
Too much speak in the videos
