I work at an animal shelter ,and in the summertime, when the cats moult , we vacuum up bags and bags of warm soft cozy cat hair . we put little clumps of it outside in the trees and on top of the fences for the birds to come and build their nests out of . by the end of the day it’s always gone. I’ve often caught my self imagining how soft all those little nests are.😅 You’re welcome little birdies. Happy egg laying.🥰🥰🥰
Your videos inspired me to have my own nest box and camera, after 3 years of waiting there is a nest near completion and I’ve loved watching the whole process so far, their behaviours have me fascinated, so thank you for sharing and giving some really great information. Looking forward to your updates too
Lovely video as always! I am really looking forward to comparing the parenting styles of the two different species. Here's to a successful season for both of these pairs!
I have a lot of little ones already. I have noticed they started end of January building nest here in London. I have never seen them nesting so early. Same with my Robins. Last year we had insane amount of magpies 😢I think that might me a reason. They all started earlier so they don’t coincide with magpies having young ones as well. Very intelligent. Beautiful recording ❤
I hope you don’t mind me asking ( you must be sick of people asking the same question ) which camera do you use please? Our one isn’t as clear as that and despite saying it’s in colour it’s not. Thank you, ps amazing videos
honestly not that far apart, The great tit one was originally a Starling box but great tits used it last year so I put a camera in it this year in hoping they would come back ! :)
6:49 she working hard and fast
I look forward to this series every year! Great to see two on the go.
