I have even put small led lights under the seats in the cab of the van. I just found some magnetic motion lights for the van exterior when stationary that are added to my equipment wish list.

The red color is good to use befor bed or in the middle of the night, as it does not wake you up completly, thus you fall asleep quicker again. As a bonus its less visible from afar.

Hats off to you man. I could never live in something that small, but I could in a about 20' RV. I had a 24' but now my plan is for a 20' to travel in. I tried a van trip to Florida and that is when I knew it wouldn't work for me. To each their own. Subscribed & Liked. :)

12:44 certain colors don’t attract mosquitoes and/or flying insects as much so the colors may come in handy if you keep your doors open in warmer weather.
I always keep some 3M double sided tape around but it doesn’t last for more than a few months and it is remarkably more expensive versus contact cement

I'll have to look for it the next time I need to stick up something in the van. The olive wood board is a handsome addition. Guess what I appreciated most this time - just your own commitment to what works well, instead of what's strictly "beautiful". It's giving me a chance to think about how I choose to adjust and augment my own van space. Tks!

Scott the lay out of your van is really well thought out. You are able to capture multiple angles in your filming inside of your van so seamless. And it looks comfortable to manover from the different stations like cooking and bathing. I'm impressed and if I ever am able to do vanlife I would copy your exact set up. Thanks. Most people want a little more open space but I’m outside most of the day so this galley style works. It really comes down to how much time is spent inside.

I’ve been watching your videos up and down the beautiful PNW coast. 1 month ago I bought a transit connect and I’ve traveled from Portland to the northern Oregon coast, but now I’m anxious to explore central Washington and examine the beautiful geology. Rock formation is my new interest. I’m not a full time nomad yet.
I like the idea of putting magnets into a cutting board as feet. My counter isn’t steel, but if I did that I could put the board on side wall of the van when I want it out of way. On lighting I have an ancient Luci Light that has a softer orange & blue in the non-bright lighting mode that provides just enough light when not doing detailed tasks.
Love the new lighting! 👍🏻 Very nice! 🤩 The contact cement reminds me of the rubber cement we used in grade school…although I know they aren’t the same thing.
Perhaps I would use the word detailed for your style. And that’s perfect. I could easily follow your instructions and apply the skills to any number of similar projects! And you completed them! Yeah that white task lighting is great when working on something but reminds me of being at work, it's so industrial or institutional, yuck. I use an led lamp at home but I bought a nice warm light led bulb and it really does help put me in a better mood. Looks good in your van too. 🙂

I use contact cement in the product(s) I make at work. I usually look for the’tacky spider web’ that results from testing both surfaces by touching them together then pulling them apart (as a test). This is just my method, but it looks like you have one too. Lighting looks great!
sorry to hear you paid that much for it.. Same thing at the $ store for 3 or 4 $ Oh ya and they also have some pretty good two part epoxy for under $2 been using it in my wood shop for over 15 yrs.. and not smelly just saying... cheers

Double sided 3M adhesive tape works well for mounting stuff too…no mess..

If you’re ever in Tacoma area, try Valhalla coffee it’s really good.
I’ve been to Valhalla many times when I worked in Puyallup. The quality is excellent but they only do dark roast coffee. I only drink light roast.
You made me think of a way to put things up in my minivan. I don't have metal on the inside but maybe contact cement.

I’ve tried using several brands of double sided tape in the past. None of it ever sticks for more than a few months. That’s how I switched to glue
