After watching both videos I'm rather taken back that the Air Force has any instructional "videos" on ground fighting positions, isn't that the Army or Marines' area of expertise?
@@SecurityGuy42 True. But isn't the Air Force supposed to have all the wiz bang fancy electronics and super high budgets and all they put out was the slide show? I swear i could hear the "beep" when the slide changed. Hell, the army at least had a film group that would make training films.
@@ronstryker I figure this was made some time in the 1960s because they have M16s, H-Harness LBEs, and the positions they are teaching. This seems to be some type of Basic Training film.
As a matter of fact, I sat through this in USAF boot camp in June 1976. Later that day, we went out & dug a couple of these in 90° San Antonio sunshine. And yes, it was for base security operations.

They do have to defend their bases and forward positions in a warzone.
