That area has spoiled me! We go down every year when snapper season opens. Luckily our group has an assortment of boats so there's always options, big reds, slot reds, cobia, snapper, sheepshead, tuna, and swordfish. Would love to go over there in the fall!

I have been throwing this lure for few months and let metell ya. Big fish will attack this lure. Snook, tarpon, reds, grouper and even trophy trout will eat this lure. Love it Capt.

Those were some fatty redfish. For a few minutes, that scenery reminded me of fishing Mosquito Lagoon in the summertime years ago. I sure hope it recovers in time to be like what it was 10 to 20 years ago. You could sight fish monster reds like that just about any time if you knew what you were doing! My largest red was 48" and caught in Haulover Canal on a 3" live shrimp in 2004. Love that rod and reel setup. How about some info on that rod..Thanks

Quick question CA. I love everything about my Sustain fj 3000.. except the line roller bearing!
It seems to freeze up every other month and I have to keep replacing it.
Is there anything I should be doing to prevent this or is it possible to use a bushing instead to have it last longer?
