I went out yesterday south of St Marks on a negative tide. Stated out very cold with frost on the truck. I did exactly what you described with a Low Country Boil MR27. As soon as the water warmed up a little I caught a fish on just about every cast. I lost count but I released well over 25 including a 23” trout. They were still hitting but I decided to have mercy on them. No reds caught but I did have one looking. I started out with a loop knot but soon shifted to the clinch. The only thing I’d do differently is change out trebles for in line hooks. Easier on the fish and me. I think they hold better too. Thanks for the terrific coaching!
Been watching your winter videos and really using your advice. Never really had any luck with the Mirrodine line up. But this winter been using your recommendation’s and have had the best inshore winter fishing ever. Caught 2 snook and a nice trout this morning with the minidine. Thanks for the advice
Capt. CA thank you for all these excellent video’s and I try to watch almost all of them! I watched one of your recent videos. We talked about being a bit of a knot junkie. I wondered if you would consider doing a video on what knots that you use for different circumstances. And then actually do a demonstration of tying your most popular knots. I know most of them could be looked up, but you’re always so excellent, and explaining and taking your time, not rush through it. Not trying to get you to make a long video maybe just one showing your favorite braid to leader line and different type of Nazi would use on different hooks and why. I know you do some of this and you’re various different videos but you’ll tell the type of not and show it but if it was all in one video with several different methods, that would be awesome!
Loving these winter tips video series you are putting together for us. Could you do a video on targeting winter snook? The wife and I are in the Dunedin area for the winter months again and haven’t had any luck finding and catching snook.
I think i could have outfished you (on those conditions only ) with my favorite lure , those mirror lure's with single hooks are my second go too bait ..ive been gonna put my lure choice on my smaller boat but i havent yet .. " Spoon Feed " Ive put alot of research into one particular spoon ..
Mr. C.A. Sir I would like to know what size trouble hooks you use in BKK 71-SS for your MR 24s sir thank you for your shows and please keep up the good work that you do informing your fans thank you and have a blessed day sir…🎣
I just got a curado dc 150hg. I am debating between the 7'3 Medium or medium heavy. I mostly fish in flamingo and due to the weeds I don't use trebles much at all. All of my rods are 7ft and I want something longer to cast to those spooky fish or to cover more ground. Since I mostly run single inlines and Texas rigged baits would you suggest I go with the medium heavy instead?
@@flatsclasschartersi would love to be able to get the chance to go out with you on a charter possibly here where i live in Pasco. Is this a possibility?
When you talk about Negative Tides can you explain to me what is a Negative Tides. I’m confused, l know low Tides, High Tides, incoming Tides and outgoing Tides.
Airboats!! If I ruled the world, airboats, jet skis, wake boats, and loud stereos would either be banned or restricted to their own areas. Also, everyone who drives a boat would be required to get a license where they would be instructed in the rules of the road and etiquette.
AS A AIRBOATER, I TAKE OFFENSE TO YOUR COMMENTS. YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR IS NOISY. ALSO POLLUTES THE WATER. AND PROPELLERS CUT UP FISH AND OTHER MARINE LIFE. DONT BE A HATER!!!! GOOD LUCK
Great teaching video C. a. ! Take care
Glad you’re showing some catching. You’ve got the best instruction. Please keep them coming.

If I missed it, I apologize, but what equipment are you using here? Rod, reel, line,.....etc. thank you in advance and appreciate all you do.
C.A do you have a Shimano bantam and if so how do you like it for inshore fishing

Apologies if I missed it but do you use an app or other program to track tides?
The “Fishing Points” App is all you need and its free
A friend of mine that lives out there puts the kayak up on them conditions and takes some long walks in the waders and wacks them on the mirriodines
What type of rod action/weight?
Yes, very interested in details on the setup please :)
How many trout do you catch over 24" in a year in your area the nature coast ?
Not a lot but a little further north we catch a few over 24” and even have a shot at a 26-27 incher in the Spring

Thank you for the reply . After fishing a few tournaments in your area , I was thinking that was the case. @@flatsclasscharters
Baitcasters and plugs.... As life should be
You and I think alike 😂
So what exactly is a negative tide
in the colder months the water gets super low. there are yards of exposed mud from the bank line to the edge of the water
So its basicly a low tide@@jeremypeterson7384
