  • No personality has been more influential to shallow water fishing than the illustrious Flip Pallot. Flip has been the benchmark for anglers ever since the original "Walkers Cay Chronicles" debuted on ESPN back in the 90's. But after all the accomplishments and accolades over a lifetime of measure, Flip finally sits down for a candid interview with C.A. and shares what's really important to him now and adds a few colorful memories in the process!

Flip is one of the last of a generation of amazing outdoorsmen who loved sharing and teaching others. Both of these good men love to share the outdoors with others.
We old baby boomers learned a lot from Flip and Lefty and luckily we have lots of educational TH-cam fishing videos now.

Flip Pallot is such a treasure! I watched Walker's Cay religiously when it aired on ESPN back in the early 90's. It definitely had an impact on my fishing and my view on life in general.

🌴 As soon as I seen this pop up on the I pad it was “ Yes “! I’m older than dirt watched Flip from the beginning, I was stuck up In Wisconsin and dreamed like so many others to be able to salt water fish , I moved to the Tampa Bay Area 35 years ago and fished every chance I can , watching you and flip is just epic , every chance that we 👈🏻 his fans get a chance to now see flip and re live parts of the mans journey and life , I start to realize how much of an influence he made in my life , thanks CA, for sharing and taking us along on the time that you shared with flip, time is the most precious thing in the world , we are only allotted a certain amount of it and it should be cherished, this was a special time , I think flipster has me by about 3-4 years, I could only wish to shake his hand it’s been a fun ride .

First of all, thank you! Thank you for opening a window into the world of our fishing heroes! Those guys, you included, are the Nolan Ryans, Ken Griffey Jrs, and Cal Ripken Jrs for us kids that seeked outdoor adventures! Don’t get me wrong, no one loved our favorite pastime more than me. But it was rabbit hunting with a recurve bow handed down by your father or him letting you drive his tiller steer boat in the intracoastal water way, squinting to see a tailing red fish. In those instances, you’re the most free. There are no foul lines, no outs, and no score boards. I had the privilege of meeting you recently at Sodium, and even though I’m 43, I felt like I was 12 years old again! Thank you sir and thank you to all those like you for teaching and inspiring those of us with a “wild” side!

I was one of those kids that watched Flip on Saturday morning. Of course I watched Bill Dance, Roland Martin and others but Flip was always my favorite. I grew up on the beach in Sarasota so Walker's Cay Chronicles was a LOT more interesting to me. Im so glad I found this interview and that Flip is still at it.

Finally got around to watching this “Diary of Flip” and I enjoyed
every minute of it. Back in the day I was enamored watching Flip on the Walkers Cay Chronicles which is what really changed me from a bass fisherman to an inshore saltwater fisherman. C.A. Hit a home run with this one.

A lot of intros are overlooked and I'll skip them. I've watched the intro on all three episodes. It has a Walker's feel to it and that was my favorite intro of all time!

I know the building Flip spoke of when heading out to Big Cypress. He's right,we didn't do enough to preserve what we had in the 60s,70s and 80s.
