I keep rewinding the intro. That sound
Why is this even a discussion, everyone knows that movie cars are not road worthy.
In January 2019, one of three Murciélagos used in the film was purchased by TH-camr Freddy "Tavarish" Hernandez for $80,000. This was the "hero car" driven by Tyrese Gibson and used for glamour shots. The car was also used in an episode of the TV series L.A.'s Finest, where a character fell off a building and crashed on its front trunk and windshield. Hernandez spent over nine months restoring the Murciélago back into show car condition while upgrading the interior, engine, and suspension. The finished product was unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show.[1][2][3][4] The car was featured on the TH-cam channels "VINWiki", "Schmee150", and "Hoovies Garage", as well as on other automotive TH-cam channels during the 2019
I think people with common sense would assume any car they see is NOT a movie car, i think there are more people calling actual movie cars fake than fake movie cars real. Nobody ever thinks they are looking at the real thing..been a car guy going to shows all my life and ive never laid eyes on an actual movie car in real life, but a million replicas.
Fuck thats expensive for a model car and that that ticket price is steep
Was nice to hear you say good things about those building the replicas. As noted, it's so much tougher today to get the parts to make a late 90's/early 2k custom build let alone with specific parts.. The passion and detail that goes into good replica builds also speaks volumes. I see so many replica's of your original Pearl Orange Supra from the first movie where the seats don't even have blue colored material in the center.. IMO: good, spot-on, replicas are hard to produce and very rare to come by.. half-ass replicas are a dime a dozen, but 100% accurate replicas are just as rare (if not more) than the on-screen cars themselves..
there is a guy in france claiming he has all the F&F reals cars lol
That Supra and Skyline were ABSOLUTELY 🤯
Craig, i appreciate you keeping us up to date . I'm a huge Fast and Furious fan. I'm a fan of a couple of the car's the Nissan Skyline GT-R34 being one of them
My favorite “Easter egg” was seeing the 2F2F Supra on Grandmas Boy.
I remember that too, but the wheels and body kit was all wrong. Probably a stunt car or extra
@@RapidRedRiderLieberman already explained that Grandma's Boy was also made by Universal, and they wanted the Asian character to have something stereotypical, so they just went to the backlot and yoked up the first car they saw.
@@EvanDizasterous you’re completely right. Can’t believe I forgot that. I also remember him talking about how the graphics on the car is a hair pick and how that would never be okay in today’s political climate 😆
I know this is off topic but did you do a cameo at Race Wars in the first movie? I recently watched it and I think I saw you during Letty's race with that white RX-7.
Yup! He talks about it in some of the earlier videos, check them out, they are all great
Sure did, Nyra race circuit was actually IRL something too. The thing the one guys says "nah im not racing tonight, im going legit , Nyra ever heard of it?"
@crisnmaryfam7344 NIRA stands for National Import Racing Association. Put that it your Nyra pipe and smoke it 😂
Before u explain I already figure that at least the main reason screen used picture cars are never seen on the street is due to the value of them and even insurance. Nobody in their right mind would risk driving a valuable piece of cinema history.
I'm glad I still have my 98 GSX that I bought brand new in 98 🎉
When I bought my replica/tribute Eclipse the dude told me it was a leftover movie car from AZ, I then asked why it had so many incorrect parts and his answer was because the car was stripped and he put the parts on. He also said he had documentation but LOST it. LOL. Would be cool if the story was true....or is it?
The people that swear up and down that they saw screen used cars driving on the freeway are the same people that see a photoshopped render of "The new Mazda RX-9" and think that's real, too.
Or, I just REALLY want to believe that new Toyota MR2 rendering is real.
@@negativeindustrial 🤣
But they are real 😂
You can see deez nutz on the freeway 😂
@@darksu6947🤣🤣🤣
Extremely cool of you to warn people of frauds and to answer like all Instagram DMs especially related to this topic.
Big respect for that. ❤
Would like a replica of brians eclipse myself. But for now ill settle for an evo and a 3000gt 😅
Another great video! Thanks Craig. Keep it up. Never stop! 👊😎🙌🔥
I’d really like to know where the rb26 Mustang hero#1 car went? I’m aware of the v8 stunt cars being sold multiple times over the year but never heard anything about the rb26 mustang
those cars need real owners
That's true a lot of these companies don't exist or these companies merged with other companies and if you find these parts these parts will go for a lot of money because the seller knows that the part is discontinued on especially if the part is brand new never opened sealed
I'd rather have a replica, personally, assuming I'm getting it for a replica price. I'd be tickled pink to have a Supra, Eclipse, or even a clean EJ1 Civic. I want them to drive, not to stick in a garage.
Nobody cares for 10 years, then someone famous passes, and the rats start seeing dollar signs. People are disgusting.
Kudos Craig, always a pleasure.
I think the Frenchman who has a museum & FF cars is a bit crazy driving around Paris with his cars.
yeah its movie cars central, pretty sure that are fake replica
I saw the ad for the Eclipse when posted. The whole ad was a bit strange - something about how he just bought it but was selling it, but was restoring it (???), and something about his buddy’s wrap shop? When I saw the ad, I think it said “possibly a screen car”, but he wasn’t 100% sure. For $6k, the price wasn’t even bad for just that car in CA! Add in being a movie replicar you could show and drive, just bonus.
Hi Craig, do you know anything about the custom Dodge Rams they used in the opening and scramble scenes of 2 Fast 2 Furious?
dodge loaned us. th trucks then we made a relationship with the company "road armor" an a lighting company NOthing much to tel/l
@@craigliebermanI guess that the f150 Lightning was loaned from a dealership also?
They are real tho ...... really good mimics homage rides
24k for one of the stunt R34 GT-Ts ngl sounds like a deal, get one that wasn’t used much during filming, rwd RB25 neo, C-west body kit and HREs? Take the livery off and that’s a good car (granted it wasn’t used for any stunts)
Yeah but those cars weren't stret legal then so how much would you pay for a car you can't even drive?
ALL OF THE SKYLINES USED IN 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS WERE REAL GT-R-s. You're welcome, Craig.
@4:52 Neal H Moritz driving Suki's s2k while Sung Kang walks behind?
Mark drives your Maxima on the street. He's got it mostly correct, still needs correct vinyl and airbrushing.
The driveable green eclipse in the movie was powered by a Dodge Neon engine lol. A N/A engine, the SRT4 wasn't out yet.
Craig, do you have any update on the “This is your car” Supra from the first F&F? Last I heard a tuner shop in the Midwest has it
"My Cars before & after Fast & Furious" - 2 months ago
@ no where in that video does Craig mention the whereabouts about that car. This is the junk Supra that was delivered to Dom’s shop via tow truck where Paul says, “This is your car”
You could put my '70 z/28 in a movie tomorrow and i'd still drive it on every nice day after.
I'd drive one but sadly other adults don't know how to leave peoples stuff alone.
Went to Universal Studios (Cali) in '06 with my GF at the time. They had one of the 2F2F Skyline just as you walked in through the entrance on display. It was in bad shape. Took a pic with it on my Sony Ericsson phone, lol. Wish I still had the pic.
Thanks Craig
I own 95 Eclipse GS manual 82k original miles. Find it at SoCal cars & coffee, Radwood, Carcadia, Corona Christmas toy drive.
I thought Frankie Munez bought one of the Jettas.
Yep, claims he paid $150k 😂
Happy New Year!
happy new year to you as well
There's a replica green eclipse here in salem off d street! It's so fire !!!! Looks exactly like the og!!
Took him a few years to do
UPDATE magazine date
Parking movie cars in the back / abandoned.
There was a story in October 1983 Car Craft where the Yellow Chevy and 32 Ford from American Gratify were left in the back lot to waste away. The studio was resistant to selling but someone how an enthusiast was able to get the cars and restore them. There has got to be some real reason why studios let the cars rot and keep them even when a sequel movie isn't in the works.
Because their a product made for the production, and effectively copyrighted to said production.
I wouldn't say nobody cared about those cars. There were replica cars on the road from day 1 amd still are today. The F&F movie(s) single handedly caused supra prices to skyrocket. Ok maybe you coild buy a screen used "gtr" for cheap but was it RHD? Those cars weren't legal to drive on the streets then so how much money was it even really worth? Especailly since rhe stunt cars weren't even real gtr's.
Brian’s Eclipse from the first movie had a roof scoop. Most claiming they have a movie car don’t have the roof scoop
i remember back in like 06 at universal studios they had the r34 and charger "as seen in movie" cars on display...pretty cool display
You have no wikipedia mention, and I finally found you as the technical advisor on 2F2F. So you know, I was the tech advisor on the Dukes of Hazzard and im 47 years old
Dukes of Hazzard 👌yum yum
Great video 👏😎.
My friend in U.K. Restless customs sold the mk4 replica that got smashed in Colorado . I have a genuine screen car but only the LHD a90 used for close ups in Fast9 .
Oh wow!
2000$ for a car model??! 😮😳 there's just no way!
Sure, why not. I have diecast S209 STi that only new buyers received that is worth more than that
Yeah Fanhome stuff is nuts. I was doing the DeLorean till they had supply issues. The models are sick and you build them yourself with monthly shipments but the price is insane.
@aaron71 yeah that's rough. I mean I appreciate when models are the exact replica down to the bone but can't wrap my head around those parts being so high...
But nice on the Delorean! Wanted that next. I just started on a 89 batmobile model that I got for 30 bucks lol..
that's what the company sells it for$2,000 and they are sold out.
Selling a $2k model car you got for free, for $5k (the price of a used car with low miles on fb marketplace) is diabolical.
Is he forcing anyone to buy a ticket?
@ did anyone say he was?
@capostrength3908 Feeling foolish? Don't trying to act like you weren't implying that. Smh
@ no. I simply stated that it’s crazy when you think about it. You’re the one assuming, sounds like a “you” problem
@capostrength3908 Yeah, im the problem! 🤣 You're the one calling hos hustle "diabolical".
What's so crazy about it?
Yeaa. Wear em with pride maaaan 😂😂
I'd be too timid driving one around because of all the reckless morons in my area. A collision wouldn't be fixed right because pretty much all the parts were discontinued quickly as Craig begins talking about @7:32. It's like a company would make aftermarket bits and bobs for our cars for 2 years then call it quits. Need a replacement bumper? Too bad. Get an unprimed factory stock-lookalike on eBay motors.
I see TH-cam's back at it again following me around, deleting my comments.
Some guy recently sold a Veilside Fotune 2 RX7 better known as Hans Tokyo Drift RX7 and claimed to have contacted u customer in germany and he sold it in austria haha
Groove Armada -Superstylin
By the time someone gets that 1/8TH model itll have loads of dust on it lol (unless its under a case)
Steele Wheels auto museum in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada has a red rx7 that they claim to have been used in the first movie. It's a cool place to stop if you're ever in town.
NOt a real movie car. That car wasbuil by Eddie Paul on contract afte the movie. Give me the vin and I can prove it's no screen-used car.
I wonder if Graig has seen "Super Fast" 😂😂
😅😂it's one of its kind
Every character is well played
The GS-T was a movie car!!
Wrong movie - Sex Drive🤣🤣
Veilside RX7 from Tokyo Drift was in Dudley in England
Craig, I hear NOPI is coming back, you gonna head up a position?
Can you imagine if Brian’s screen used GTR got state ref’d in California?
Owning a heavily modded TSI AWD Talon at the time, I always laughed at that stupid RS Eclipse.
They are currently a filler car , I've seen a couple F&F cars in many other movies like the gold Supra
A car like that would go for a ride once for a car and coffee event, then it sleeps on the lift in a secured garage, and I would tell my kids you cannot sell it since I put it in the trust But here is the replica, have fun!
But what if i was there the day they were filming the movie when they were driving down the road?? 😜
I don't know why anyone likes them.
The worst is when I see an Eclipse replica but they actually wasted a GSX or GS-T to build it.
and yet... it was a FWD base model in the movie... Amazing the frivolous BS that people let bother them.
GST in Canada is goods and service tax, it's the worst
@@crisnmaryfam7344 that's the point, genius. the original car being a base rs model means nothing of value was lost. when using a turbo model, that changes.
@@crisnmaryfam7344 Please feel free to waste all the RS/GS bottom of the barrel Eclipses. Its a complete joke when someone butchers a GS-T/GSX to make that terrible looking Eclipse.

Can you pls do Leon's R33 gtr t shirt

“Screen used car, temporarily on blocks outside my motorhome, $80,000, I know what I got” 🤣. Ppl will have to start making moulds of the bumpers, if they aren’t made anymore, I know ppl do that for a mugen mk2 crx front bumper. They’re impossible to come by, but the original moulds should be somewhere, unfortunately business fail or get rid of stock and ppl don’t know what they’re throwing out or destroying.
Robocar body kit is already reproduced for the eclipse. Mold was created from an actual body kit from the 2000s that was stashed away in storage. I have it for my Tribute build.
I know what I got!!! Lmfao. That's the biggest line people use when trying to sell junk!
And the a massive difference between a replica and tribute… I hate when cars with the wrong wheel and wrong kits say it’s a replica…. No it’s a tribute
Dude it’s a replica of someone else’s shitty attempt to make a replica duh!
@ 😂😂😂
Honestly i don't think
I'd mind seeing a replica
as long as its an accurate and well designed replica
And Not from temu😅8:25
Can someone gift me a replica car from the movie ? Thanks in advance !
I have never watched a single F and F movie, but am aware of the cultural impact. Did you just say the screen cars were built by our team? Maybe I need to do some research.I wondered why you are on my feed.
Wow for a minute i thought i was listening to Trump 😂 awesome content and the reason i own a Supra is fast and the furious 👍
Do a video on the live show
Why imitate when you can innovate take the hero idea and make it a true 1 of 1 by making it yours
damn why'd i have to be a kid in the 2000s
I should've gotten me a R34 instead of growing up
Basically nowadays all these cars are overpriced total garbage only because F&F movie hype
🤔 the eclipse could be a movie car 🚗 It’s in the movie sex Drive.
There are no rules dmumas
I am sure AZ has at least eclipse, Integra and civic from first race scene and the Jetta...replicas😂😂😂
And the racers edge lightning.
Nobody cared about those cars then because real street racers and car guys thought those cars were embarrassing, they were too over the top, nobody rocked liveries like that in real life and so they didn’t get popular until Nostalgia kicked in. If we’re being honest, they’re still ugly.
Yeah it's pure nostalgia. Nothing else. All the people saying otherwise, they are probably trying to speculate on that 💩
@@Two_BSW_Aerosaround here we did have a handfull of over the top ugly ass kitted imports running around and were actually in the parking lot of the movie premier of the fast and the furious. I remember driving to see it when it came out in my supercharged and caged fox coupe. My car stuck out as it was 5 colors of primer, and all the imports had shiny paint and big ass stereos but wouldn't run 16s with 30psi of boost. My car ran mid 10s in 1999 which was very fast for a street car.
They were cool for kids 😁
Honda the best
I watched and touched the real movie cars in belgium i also made a video about it. And the staff at the stand of these cars was asking extra money to film them 😅 i already paid the entry and there was no sign saying that I couldn't film them my god he was so desperate for money.
Also, the room for the fast and furious cars was almost completely empty 😊
