I have an off grid garden cabin. It was built because I had stuff in storage from the attic of a previous home. The rear yard of the cabin has the storage boxes and is separated by sliding doors. The rest of the space is set up as a sitting room/spare bedroom. It has an IKEA sofa bed and coffee table, storage and chairs, and interior lighting and phone charging point are solar powered. Total cost including furniture was a mere £4K
Keep your modern 'office looking' houses. Houses built in that natural way, with natural recycled material, wins 'every time!!
I literally live in an ‘office’ because I live in a building that used to be old offices that were converted into flats 🤣 lol

2nd lol I watch a lot of tiny houses and all of them have wheels to move it around if needed but also yes you don’t pay council tax on a mobile home I do believe lol

Sadly that’s cheap for an off grid style stay in Sussex
It’s a beautiful little house but I’d definitely find a way of having a small wet bath in the house instead of having to go and use an outhouse and outdoor shower because what would they do in winter 🥶
People had out houses in their gardens even back in the 70s, as mum told me with her flat in London. Baths were indoors though and filled through boiled water and the cold tap.
Its a holiday home. Its just something you'd have to do for a few days, not a lifetime. Its all part of the experience.

They always make out it's so cheap, but most of them are rich, on daddys land. Trust me if I could go build in a field, I would get off grid believe me.

My thoughts exactly, I gasped when they mentioned the £100 per night. But as long as people are paying that price, why would they charge less..

It’s cute and all, but honestly, by the time you move in with the kids’ stuff alone, there’d be no room to swing a hobbit. That and the rain, damp and inevitable muddy floors is really not what I’d pay £100 a night for. And where on earth would you put provisions for 4 people, under the bed?
