Been driving the patrol for 4 months now, city fuel consumption is at 3km/l and highway fuel consumption is at 7.5km/l on average. Ride is smooth, suspension is great, comfortable seats, quiet cabin, cold AC, quick for its size, huge but i did not have trouble going into tight spaces or doing u turns, or parking in malls. Interior design is to my liking as well. At first i was so conscious with the fuel consumption but given all the perks i got, i accepted it. Overall, i enjoy and love this vehicle.
Compare that to my earlier 7-seater Volvo XC90 V8 built in 2005, which consumed an average of 9.5 km/liter on Swiss roads (max. 80 km/h) and highways (max. 120 km/h), while getting an average of 8 km/ltr on German highways and no speed limit, and traveling at speeds of 160-180 km/h. Going at max speed, around 210 km/h it only did 7 km/liter... not too bad for an old car ;-) Btw, the engine was designed and built by Yamaha, and isn't Nissan also a Japanese brand? So what happened???
A tried and true rugged platform, known for it's reliability and durability (especially loved in the Middle East), cheaper than the all new Land Cruiser and vastly cheaper than the Chevy Tahoe, seems like a great value in full size truck based SUV platform.
@@kristoffermangila The interior of the patrol in Australia looks like it's from 1998. They are just now implementing apple car play/android auto into the 2024 versions. The dash still looks horrendous. I went to test drive one and really enjoyed it but the interior was a complete let down. No way am I paying 100k+ AUD for an interior that is extremely lacking. Even the base model Nissan Armada in the US has a better interior than the Ti-L (top model in Australia).
Before the current facelift just the other year, we were still using an interior that looked straight out of a 98 Cefiro. This was indeed, a big improvement.
I will be sad when this generation goes. Nissan kept the Patrol and the GT-R going too long without a major update, but even over a decade later, both still feel great to drive. This SUV handles and goes better than you expect a big barge to, and the sound of that V8 is sublime. Let's see how Nissan tops this.
Y62's are the last of the V8's and of then non Turbo's. Everything is now put turbo on this to compensate. Wish this was on the Y61 body instead of the problematic ZD30 it had. Y61 is still the better looking. But Y62 aint that bad.

It's laying out the details. It's no longer a review if one does not mention those anymore. Bottomline: they gave it a pretty generous score. I don't see the problem there.

Buyers of this suv do not worry about fuel economy. It's not gonna be an issue for this segment.
If you can afford to buy this SUV, you definitely don't care about its fuel consumption.
I own a lc300 the patrols fuel consumption just didn’t make sense especially with a higher depreciation than a land cruiser too
True
@@kaidenchetty4572 i sold my lc300 overpriced pig and bought a y62--- its better all around and fuel is the same--- the resale is very high
@@kaidenchetty4572 hindi talaga mag m make sense, gawin mo ba naman variable yung depreciation sa gas consumption e.

THE PATROL IS NICE WE ALSO HAVE THAT CAR
AND ITS MY FAVORITE ❤
Honestly I prefer this than the LC.
One the best Full size SUV
Toyota Prado , please review next 😅❤❤❤
2.2 l/ km susmaryosep! thats why i asked my friend whats the consumption, he said nevermind 😂
2.2 km/L sounds about right. I get 4.2 km /l on a Toyota Prado V6.

Still worth it. Or wait for the new QX Monograph. 😊
Bro that interior compared to the interior we get in Australia is so much better. Australia got shafted.
Probably due to the intended clientele of this Patrol here in the Philippines: this is intended for wealthy businesspersons and politicians.

Better than waiting for a year.
Excellent luxurious machine
my dream car
If you’re complaining about this vehicle, you’re obviously not the target market. Go nitpick something in your price range.
the gas consumption.😢
A million cheaper than a LC and 3 million cheaper than a Chevy Tahoe more than makes up for it's gas consumption.
Audio needs improvement
Patrol > LC
