I started with the Kindle Scribe 2022 as it was on offer recently with the release of the new model. I had tried other more traditional tablets but had limited success with the feel of writing on the glass screen. The Kindle Scribe for note taking is great with a fantastic feel but accessing the notes on other devices is cumbersome needing to email the documents back and forward or connecting to a special website to upload. The Boox Note Air4 C just as nice to write on and is able to share the notes much more easily using cloud services making it a much more useful device for me. Thanks for the great reviews and I have found your tips really helpful.
In reality i have both, the Boox device has a LOT of ghosting and you will notice that the reviewer has the type face as BOLD otherwise it is very faint and washed out. At BOLD its acceptable but it does not use this as default. Notice he does not do use the out of the box settings on the boox device. Still trying to get used to the washed out feel of the boox. probably going to return it. not good enough at $500 and PDF's are almost unreadable.
Hey there! I’m considering buying an E Ink tablet for studying, but I can’t decide between the Note Air 4C and the Tab Ultra C Pro. I’d like to use productivity software, such as Notion, while reading a PDF, but I’m worried that the NA4C’s processor might not handle multitasking well. What’s your opinion on this? Thanks!
I sold Scribe and bought Boox Air and Im absolutely satisfied. Why? I can use more Kindle reader on Air and I can write there notes in my language, I can use Deepl, read journals etc. For people from countries that don’t have language support on Scribe is Air much much much better device.
I have both. The NA4C has a zillion more features than the Scribe but I found its washed out colours and complex labyrinth of settings quite draining,(many comment on the demanding learning curve with this Android device.) Also not helped by constant glitches on basic functions; page turning, split screen function etc. The Scribe has a cleaner, brighter screen and a better pen. But its note taking function is SO basic - if only it had better templates, tags and table of contents features it could be the preferred choice for note takers. As it is it’s a book reader first and note taker second. The NA4C is jack of all trades and in my opinion master of none. Oh and the Boox customer service is draconian and severe - buyer beware.
to me this is almost entirely a budget question. but as you suggested, comparing the Scribe to the Go 10.3 switches it from a budget question to a feature question, and... idk, to me the Go 10.3 just blows the Scribe away in terms of usability and capability.

Agree with your points Mark. Appreciate leaving the comment and enjoy your Scribe which is a great device. All the best!
I ordered my Boox Air 4C last week. It should arrive this evening, this video makes me even more excited to receive it!
Great job! I appreciate the depth in your review, and that you kept it fast past. Just what I was looking for. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
I have a scribe and did try the Boox but the simplicity and ease of use of the scribe I can’t get away from.

Thank you for the video
4:20 wrong information about Note 4c
Yes, thanks for pointing it out. Accidentally swapped B/W with color resolution.
@ Yeap. Always welcome!
Yes looks like the labels are back to front. I thought the colour was 150 ppi too.
Will see if I can correct it. Good catch and thank you for pointing it out 👍

The ghost images are permanent on the BOOX Note Air 4C... run away while there is still time !

Why only a partial refund for the Boox? That’s a red flag to me
Very good
Where did you get your prices from. The kindle scribe is $449.99 on Amazon. I would rather have your price😂
