My 93 EG will always be my baby.
92-95 Honda Civic EG Hatchback for the win! Best civic hatchback ever made in the WORLD!
Out of all the cars... Honduh! love it!
Yeah, duh, keep it simple in a Honduh.
What a great owner. Really sick build.
I had a 92 hatch with a full GSR engine, tranny, chassis swap in 02-03! It was a beast.
It’s crazy that people are still into this chassis as much as in the 90s-00s!
I just traded my Porsche in on an Fl5 because I just need a quick Honda in my life. Traded my 99 Cobra in on a 00 Si, then got an Rsx s, 2 eg hatches , an ek hatch, then raced Superbikes, now I'm back in a Honda seat and couldn't be happier.
Hahaha quite a journey! Be safe and keep in touch!
Awesome setup and attitude towards a build. Well setup chassis that's light and turn key reliable. Everyone thinks they want a monster build with a ton of power but this is what would be best to actually own and drive. Props to having power steering and a brake booster.
💯
Every time Jim, just absolutely ridiculous! The best! Best of luck to you and Steph! Love to all the boys too!
Serious build, love the EG
That exhaust is SO SICK
Indeed!
Really good knowledge being shared in this video appreciate it.
Thank you, and glad you are taking some information out of our interview!
Love the channel. I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan a few years back at buttonwillow. He save me tons of money and time . Even told me a good starting point with tires trans setup and what diff to purchase. Keep the engine stock as possible work on suspension and driving . Keep it fun!!! Last time out I ran a 2:01 . Sub 2 to come this year I hope .
Thank you Raymond, and yes! always good to have someone that had experienced it before, and learn from their journey. Looks like you are just one to two track days away from reaching a big milestone, if you are on instagram, please be sure to send me a quick dm when you do! Thanks again!
nice to put a face on it, i remember his track ek hatch
5:27 onwards is golden 🍻
Thank you for a feedback!
Pushing the envelope ins't fun when you have to take care of the shipping bill. 😂
Cool car, clean as a whistle, fast as a missile.
Thank you!
This is a beautiful car.
It is!!
I’m still in love with AEM. V1 can start like stock you just need to put in the time to learn it or find somebody that knows which might be hard these days. I agree Hondata is great for staying out of trouble and not getting in over your head.
I’m running AEM on my car too, and works great! Great data logging as well with their sensors 💪
@@Sub2clubyes! It does everything you need and more.
Minor correction: windows are poly carbonate, not poly urethane. We were little too exited talking about this car.😂
“ryannovak” thanks for making this vid, such an insane build
Out of this whole build, the windows being poly, got me the most excited.
@@dariuslavy3913 the 747 aero is insane, not going to see that on any other high school builds LOL
Who makes the front windshield?
😂 he’s running a piece of floorboard for the Front splitter… I didn’t know Mojave had a junkyard for aircraft parts, though. I gotta go check that out. I live in Cal city
Yes, that’s the source haha
So sick one day my 94 Eg will have a k24a2 swap
Subscribed because I saw Novak's EG lol great episode!
Legend! 😂
What a pretty chilled dude ..Dropped a sub, I think the channel will go far :D keep up all the hardwork!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Props on the Sacred Heart pic on the wall.
cross yo fingas the engine doesnt blow up
Guys... I don't hate the B series... they just aren't relevant in road racing anymore compared to K... I do love me a proper B build don't get me wrong but they are belt driven... just saying
I’m so sorry Ryan, I just realized I misspelled your last name on intro 🫣 it is too late to change but when we do our follow-up, I will make sure to get it Right
One is not better then the other both have benefits
B for love, K for speed.
I love the b series but I’m also about moving forward and would love to experience a k series. It’s just easier to extract hp
B series still holds the number 1 spot over k series in drag racing
damn this shit is so cool.
Truly is!
I'd love to do an integra like that.
Let’s go!
Have you considered going fueltech? More modern than hondata and more features as well
I’m disappointed a Coors Light was not opened up during this interview…
LOL! That runs in the blood.
In first, shout out to a fellow StarQuest owner! Loved that car!! Had an EM Si, have a 996 Carrera that I love. I’d love to hear all about each build this guy had! Where can I find more?
Right on! Ryan is on instagram (link on description) but Im not sure if he has all of his previous cars posted. Although, Im sure if you start a chat, he will fill you in on alot of the questions. Man would love to have a 996 Carrera!
Why not go with fueltech instead of hondata?
I would of stopped him when he said B16b is pretty much the same as a single cam 🥴 stock for stock uh no 😂 built with a turbo yes,but not stock.
What wheels are those f bad ass eg! 👍👍
Not sure exactly what they are but they were konig wheels
@@Sub2club Ty
Where is the windshield from?
Plastics4performance
It’s a eh2
So 16k Front and 12K rear for a "street" car??
Wow i've driven 12k front and 10k rear on my daily EK and 10K rear was undriveable on the street.
The dampers must be incredible on that JRZ suspension. Why 15" wheels and not 16" or 17" given the wide tires?
🙌 Yes, dampers make all the difference! 15” most likely for final-final gear ratio, not sure if weight advantage is there as well!
AP Racing. I don't care who says what you can't get a stronger set of brakes then AP. They will destroy Spoon junk
Did hear right him saying B16B worse motor?
Yeah, that was mentioned. Just personal opionons
@@Sub2club pretty crazy that's a legendary engine. But if he was referring to speed I guess it's slow for today's standards
I was thinking the same lol never heard anyone say b16b is the worst lmao
@@badbeatking80how? He’s making around 220whp with a STOCK bolton engine? What does a B16 make? Lol 😆
He didn’t say B16b from a type Type r was trash lol he just commented on a stock B16 it is what it is
@@josephandreuccetti7270most would agree B16B is not the worst engine. Far from it. That engine earned the nickname "bullet proof" for a reason. And for it's time for a 1.6L to push out that amount of horsepower was beyond belief.
Also the guy in the video said he had an EK9 Type R. Those were with the B16B engine.
Did he just say a b16b running like a single cam? .... must have gotten a POS motor...
It was mainly as sarcasm i think. It’s still a great engine!
My dude is like fed up with the other guys trying to work on their 90’s era Hondas. Lol. I doubt he’d even be like, “sweet brah! Nice set up!” It’s all just high school sh**t bc we been there done that…. Final thoughts are, I’m the baddest, you guys just hang it up already with your weak ass mods. We invented this game, y’all just watch and take notes. Don’t even try to get close to this alright?” Lmao. Classic grouchy old 50 year old import wrencher. Grouchy bc he knows more than everyone else. Can you really blame him for it though? I mean after 30 years of running through cars, my dude ain’t got time to play wit y’all frontin’ youngstas y heeard?
Ryan is a super chill dude too.. probably why he put aside his time to talk about this car and his experience.
@@Sub2club For real! Clowning aside, his knowledge on civic track builds is based on true trial and error. He’s the subject matter expert and his advice is 🔥 🔥! Invest in suspension before engine mods…How and why he decided to focus on Hondas etc…lots of good insight shared. The epitome of “street cred.” Your interview was well done to maximize that time spent with Ryan and extract all of that information. Solid all around brah!
@@dreihllappreciate the kind words!
Its all love brother ... I'm still that guy who loves all the builds. No matter what I'm a Honda guy ...true blood.
He comes off as cocky, and just doesn't want to talk about it. And the comments about the B16B are just insane 🤦♂️
Stop showing the ek shell
Not sure what you mean?
