Always a great way to block updates from certain programs that change the way the programs work and look that much they basically change everything about the program and you rather use the older version, Install the older version, do this and never have to worry about getting that update :D
You love it
Thank you Brian
My pleasure!
Thanks..
thanks
nice work!
Thanks!
Can an app blocked through its shortcut which is selected from the desktop?? Or .exe file required must?
Britec09 you should test and evaluate the Malwarebytes Windows firewall Control. It´s great! and so much simple than that! Thanks for your video.
I'll check it out!
Legend
Does this work on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit as well?
*Edit:* I've just done it on Windows 10! Seems to work exactly the same as for Windows 11.
Wotcha Bri 💚😉

A good video Brian just two queries I used to use CCleaner but then deleted it because of it being owned by Avast so is it safe to use? Plus can this procedure be done in Windows 10? because when I click on Windows Firewall I get a message that my Eset Smart Security is managing these settings. Regarding CCleaner I see that the free program does not offer much at all and the only version worth having is the Professional version which is a paid-for service. Are there any cleaning programs like this that you would recommend?
yes you can do it on all windows and I don't use ccleaner
@@Britec09 Thanks Brian I found the video good and yes I wouldn't run CCleaner now because of the rot that has set in.
What are you saying? Do you mean avast is dangerous to use?
Nice to know. I wonder if it works with window 's own programs.
Should do
Dose this work on internet dependent apps like discord?
thanks now i can use photoshop with my wifi on
Can you make a video about configuring a site to site vpn.
Did this but the program/software can still access the internet in the background. Any solution?
What if i block the shortcut of the programme instead of the exe. itself ? Does it do the same ?
No it will not because short cut just act as the path shower for your main .exe application. so blocking that dose not make sense, im not sure but it would not work, give it a try and see just check it by clicking "check for update" or "login" etc. services of application and you will be sure about that .
how to block a certain programm from going out to the internet but also letting it access a local network?
well... in my case, i go and select the program and then in the end it says it can't find the program.... that i just selected.... i don't get it
what will happen if I delete all outbound rules
Is there any way to block internet connectivity to windows update?
yes
What if you want to block multiple apps at once? Do I need to repeat the steps for each one?
yes maybe
how many is ur app?
@@putraadyatma7423 Idk just a thought. Maybe around 15-20.
You should open that app after blocking, to see that if it's using internet or not.
How about blocking Microsoft Store apps ?
I use this with a program that used to be standalone, now it’s only offered as a subscription.
cool

YOU MUST BE DENSE
I am looking to disable, on a laptop (or desktop) computer, access to the Internet, by cable, by Wi-Fi, or any other means, for a person or a group of people. We use Windows 11 Professional.
The administrator will be able to have access to it, but those on the list in question will not be able to.
Example
A user with a laptop, who does not have permission to connect to the Internet, goes to McDonald's.
There, he will not be able to connect by cable, nor Wi-Fi, nor with his telephone network.
Another day, the administrator, using the same computer, and going to McDonald's, will be able to connect to their network.
It seems like it's not easy, since I can't find a clear solution on the internet.
If you don't know, you don't have time to explain step by step, there's no point in answering.
Thanks
now i can rest in peace
You can also do that with your rooter
Our ISP router wont, but some do
That alone does not work. I went through this process for Photoshop 2023 and it can still access the internet. However, when I turn off my internet, Photoshop works fine on its own.
use hosts file
@@soulzyx Turns out the issue was caused by my premium security app which has its own firewall. When active, it overrides windows’ firewall.
Not just Windows 11. This is available on Window 10, 7 ...
correct
Does this work on Windows Update (or other Windows programs)? 😂
It will block any out going connection
Curious as to why someone would want or need to do this manually?
Many reasons why
@@Britec09 Way too complicated for me to figure out which ones to block as mentioned. - Although your example of Ccleaner could be a good example as to why someone would want to block it for outgoing - I use Bitdefender(paid) and simply rely on it to figure things out. I have noticed that it changes s the protocols every time I come outa Sleep or a fresh Start Up. As for Ccleaner I have it set to only Update Manually. Just a mention and a big 👍as usual
Doesnt work
It does work. You're doing something wrong
@@Britec09 did it exact am trying to block folder lock
@@VishAL-jp4ef you would need to block the correct file from connecting out. This will block internet access
What about for internet dependent programs such as discord? It doesn’t seem to make a difference I can still send and reserve messages
