John is the perfect storm... A great engineer with the mind of a researcher, a great listener, creative, and someone who loves high performance and competing. He came at this game with a very strong materials and engineering background, and with good friends who were already making the best actions. You can see the results. Best wishes to John and thanks for all your work.

Not a lot of talk about Pierce. I have a Pierce Shadow action that in my opinion is better than my Bat Machine. I would highly recommend Pierce to anyone.

John built an action for me in 2015, which I used to win the light gun class in 2022 Florida Long range IBS championship.

If you want to get into competitive ELR, i’d just go with a straight 375 cheytac throated for solids. Don’t get caught up in the latest hype.
Check with peterson when their next scheduled drop date is for 375 brass and buy a bunch up.

I have an Eliseo UMR in house on loan from a friend. It uses a Pierce action and it's incredible. What an amazing piece of machining art.

HEY ERIK, bring on "The Cinnabar" he's a smith who shoots, hunts with and repairs old Winchester guns. I think you'd like him.
Maybe you could hunt with an open sight 1895 Winchester in 35 WCF or a 30-40 Krag???

Enjoyed this interview with John; very interesting. 👍🏼
John, if you read this, check out OK Archery compound bows from Germany.
The best-crafted and most accurate compound bows in the world!
Wish I could still shoot my compounds; alas, injuries have reduced me to pull the trigger on my rifles.

I had to retire to shooting lead out of a boom stick due to injuries from my 30+ yrs of shooting archery.

Erik. I am holding off getting a silencer until you get your tuner silencer. You said you had a patent, when will those be a reality. I’ve have 3 tuner brakes now!! I love them. Loads way easier to tune then using just seating depth. I do use both but rely on tuners heavily.

Good show Eric, please make a video when you either test or buy a good air rifle with one or several of the Scopes you own and know it holds and shoots in the hole repeatedly on you real guns in comparison to a air gun of the same caliber: for example your real gun is a 6.5 mm compared to a 6.5 air rifle (with the pressure tank, of course) using the same scope over various 100 meters and beyond. I think that video will be a huge booster to the air gun community, yet it may be bad if you shot too far in comparison while the communist agencies are watching. Also, you must think about the impact it will have on your tuner business in doing such a video. Food for thought yet very interesting...

You need to interview Randy Selby. "The real gunsmith" on TH-cam. That old boy is freakin spicy, and that interview would be absolutely amazing.
