The up/down mechanic doubles the amount of creep picked up so after you have a good amount you don't need to keep gathering creep from the emitters, you can just release in one spot, suck up in the same spot and move on, leaving a good amount of creep behind.
yar thats the best way to go, tom kept taking creep from the back and dumping at the front with like only getting back like 10 - 20 % of what he lifted , hence why it took the map so long to flood, Even when he feed the stash
@@Panboy2k Except he also had a x12 multiplier on it, so even at 20% it was still like 2.4 times what he picked up. But yes, further back and just pick-up/put-down would have been faster heh.
A neat trick with these vacuum maps, you can suck and dispense creep without moving your cursor to generate more creep anytime your multipliers are greater than 1.
Howdy Tom. Hint with the vacuum maps - if you rapidly click then right click to swap you can burn down some of those troublesome buffed guns but also you can spawn a LOT of creep very quickly.
The multiplier on vacuum creep gets kinda nuts later in the map, like you ended at x12.98.. You could just sit in the back line picking up and then putting it right back down and multiply the amount by a ton each time, kind of like the super-buffed stashes that go off real quick..
never played the game, but watch every episode, am I misunderstanding or could he have sucked from the stash and dropped it right back in to the stash to create even more repeatedly?
That's correct. I think it's the intended strategy. Also, it multiplies any sucked up, so you can up-down-up-down in the same spot to continuously grow
The catch is that stashes suck up creep at a fixed rate, no matter how deep it is, and when they fire, they have a cooldown where they don't suck up anything for a few seconds. So there's a hard limit on how much they can put out, like an emitter.
Tom hiding paths made it more challenging for him than it was for me. My one criticism with this map is that once you had say 70% of ther map covered in creep you should have been able to beam in a lot closer to the rift lab as the final stage is just an annoying crawl currently
So, this map can be made easier than the creator likely intended for it to be, because how I do this map is to literally spam click the ERN Mortar, after that free one of the two Emitters, destroy the Rifts then just cut connections from the base to where you can shut off a good chunk of the map that way.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1322 Wow now, this is a real cool feature and a very nice map and execution of it :D, I do hope we get to see it even more in future
Oh man, it's been a _while_ since we've seen a vacuum map! It always amazes me how many unique types of maps there are by the CW4 community.
The first vacuum map was *sooooo* fun, I really hope a lot more get created. One of the most fun CW4 maps I played

Man imagine if at the end you just dumped huge amounts in the back corner with the highest multiplier

Vacuum map was the cleverest idea for this game, was surprised no one made any more until now.

Thank you for post this video about my map😊

I have imagined this map like that 😊
This is an interesting, and can be fun, mechanic. I haven't seen more than a couple of maps that use it though, kind of wish there was a lot more.
This style of map looks pretty fun! I may need to start up CW4 for the first time in many months to try it out for myself
Okay, the Vacuum mechanic is cool
Such a fun one
This map type is my favorite to play on.
A nice chill map
Sweet vid as always. Totally looks like fun too play.
Side note: Did you ever finish Springblade? I really enjoyed that min-series.
Would be a lot easier to plan if you had the option enabled to show all the connections for the pylons and stuff (F8) all the time.
Vacuum man
Lol you can you do more play creepy and make ARMYS AGAIN!!
Like for John Rambo Cannons!
