    My old ‘88 Johnson 30 hp was a great motor when it was running right. That motor sounds great. Hopefully you get it all figured out. You won’t have any problems selling. Great video and thanks for sharing.

      And I hate standing in water. Don't think you save any water but it you can hoist different motors in then you can

    I need a 35. I've been looking for a long time. Used to be you could find them anywhere around here but nowadays you can't hardly find them. Im in South Alabama on the florida line.

      Hey. Yeah, there's a nice one for sale around here somewhere, I think on craigslist, if your looking for a longshaft remote, which is what they usually are. Thanks again !

    I am not crazy over water muffs I got a 275 gallon tote with the aluminum frame works great except for lifting the motor in and out but you got a cherry picker, so it would be easy for you see you in the next one 👍🏻🤘🏻

      Running an outboard in a tank is indeed a great improvement over the earmuffs as it allows to shift in gear AND put some load on the engine but you really need to use the proper test prop (which no one has) to run anything over 15 hp at mid to high revs. Although your tank's structure might be able to handle the stress, cavitation will throw your test results off. Regards !

    Beginning at 12:23......... for a full minute and ten seconds it was running with no water. You don't have to yank the lanyard to shut off the motor. Just push in on the lanyard button.

    • @THISOLDOUTBOARD1
      @THISOLDOUTBOARD1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes but it wasn't bone dry and yes, Stupid Me just can't get the concept that these late 80's, 90's emergency lanyard cut off switch, located on the tiller, is also the kill push button. I did the same thing on the other 2 little late 80's outboards I recently worked on. Hahaha, my brain is always in "old school" mode! Looking for that big fat kill button on the pan. The funny thing is I built this motor and still forgot. Hahaha it's like trying to teach an Old Dog new tricks! Thanks for watching & Stay tuned !

      @@joshuaabbott8383 Hey. Thanks for tuning in. You might wanna try a different prop. You can also mount the motor up an inch or 2 higher using a jack plate. And it's best to start your own comment(s) thread. It gets confusing piggybacking on someone else's comment. Here's the basic info on beefing up a 25- forums.iboats.com/threads/80s-johnson-evinrude-25hp-to-30-35hp-conversion-with-pics.516146/. Thanks !

    Hey T.O.O. I only use a double feed ear muff but I have a 300 etec. I Turn the water on and wait about 30 sec and the pump primes up a lot quicker for my motor. Yours will really work good with the double feed water muff. Probably instantly get water pump pressure. JT HOOKED N ROLLING OFFSHORE 🇺🇸🎣🐟🛥🇺🇸
