I've had this guitar since 2017 in charcoal burst and your demo did justice to the tone. So far I found the split sounds to be too thin, so I gravitate to the regular bridge and middle. Yeah the neck tone is really round without too much high end. It is what it is - you can't expect miracles from a 200 dollar guitar. Usually I play this without any electronics involved.
As far as swapping the electronics, it's a semi hollow. All the electronics come out of the F holes. Not an easy job by any means, but it is possible. I switched out my pots on my Ibanez Semi by using fishing line to help bring the pots and jack into the holes.
I have not played the SB so I cannot say for certain. It also depends a lot on personal preference. I love this HB model. It's light, sounds really good, and looks gorgeous. I don't think you can really go wrong with either one though.
@@PoorManPedals I'll probably go for SB because it's cheaper and is in stock. The HB is a tad more expensive and isn't in stock for at least a month, which is really unfortunate. The other HB colors aren't in stock for 3 months actually, which is very odd.

Cool video man, you wont believe how i got here, anyway, you deserve more subs. Quality videos you got here.
Nice. Have you adjusted the neck pickup and pole pieces to try and get rid of the muddy sound?
Not yet. For some reason I always get nervous adjusting pups. Lol
@@PoorManPedals LOL! Just DO it!

The reason i haven't ordered this one of any other semi hallow. Just to much of a pain to upgrade the pups
Which one do you think I should get between the hollow body model and solid body model?
