    I didn't realise it was that simple. Working for me, across three different OpenWRT routers.
    Thanks :)

      Glad that it helps. You can also configured Mesh WiFi between different routers as well. Feel free to check out this playlist and I hope it will help th-cam.com/play/PL58__w3t_eTbcBQ9oJ8jXCxPtBiac59vC.html

  • @PhilipSHempel

    I am looking for how to do the WPA2-EAP instead of WPA2-PSK as WPA2-EAP is much more complicated than WPA2-PSK.
    Have you an easy way to configure this? I want to see if I understand it fully.

    • @VanTechCorner
      @VanTechCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can see both WPA2-EAP and WPA2-PSK and other Encryption type on Wireless Security tab. We should be able to select the Encryption type that we want. Are you having a problem with it, is the option not show up?

    Thanks! One question: I'm setting up a dualband router as a repeater. For the 5GHz network, do I need to have a different/same NAS ID and/or Mobility Domain
    ?

    • @VanTechCorner
      @VanTechCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi, 5GHz wifi should have a different NAS & Domain. Last time I tried mixing them up and roaming didn't work. So 2 bands should have 2 different NAS ID.

  • @UpcycleElectronics
    @UpcycleElectronics 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It doesn't matter, but just tought I would mention, most native English speakers pronounce the word roaming like "row-ming." Ramming means something different. Again, it doesn't matter how you pronounce it. I would want to know if I were doing this in another language.

    You are not using RADIUS server. You are using PSK. The description of the video is misleading.

    • @VanTechCorner
      @VanTechCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is 802.11r Fast Roaming, it has nothing to do with PSK nor RADIUS.

    • @martinspukitis1954
      @martinspukitis1954 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Van Tech Corner One can use fast roaming in both enterprise (eap, with radius server) and private (psk) networks. In the description you mention enterprise and radius. Google search finds your video when searching fast roaming with radius, but instead you showing how to do it with PSK.

    • @VanTechCorner
      @VanTechCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Để khắc phục vấn đề này bạn cần nghiên cứu và tinh chỉnh thời gian chuyển vùng tùy theo latency của gói tin. Mỗi ứng dụng nghe gọi có mức yêu cầu riêng, rất tiếc mình không rành về mảng này.

    • @VanTechCorner
      @VanTechCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Không có yêu cầu trên router nhưng có yêu cầu với client nhé bạn. Mình thử trên Mi 9 và iPhone 6 thì roaming chạy tốt, còn LG V20 thì không hỗ trợ. Cái này bạn phải tìm hiểu thêm rồi.

    Bạn ơi, nếu mình muốn roaming giữa 1 router openwrt 2.4ghz và 1 router rom oem 5ghz thì phải chỉnh thủ công phải không? nếu đúng vậy thì rất mong bạn cho mình 1 vài chỉ dẫn :)

    • @VanTechCorner
      @VanTechCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bạn chỉ có thể cấu hình fast roaming giữa 2 router/AP cùng loại hoặc cùng hãng. OpenWRT giúp bạn thêm 1 bước nữa, chỉ cần cùng chạy OpenWRT là bạn có thể cấu hình fast roaming rồi. Tuy nhiên fast roaming giữa OpenWRT & router thường vẫn chưa được hỗ trợ.
