You have such an incredibly sweet spirit, and Abe is the luckiest boy in the world to have you as a mommy! As a social worker, the way you "share" him with his bio family without even a trace of ego or being territorial is very, very rare. Every child deserves a mom like you!!!! May God shower you with more blessings than you can carry with both hands!!! ❤️

This was AMAZING to see!! The selflessness of the adoptive parents is mind blowing!! Most adopted children end up wanting to find their birth parents at some point anyway! Abriel will never have to have to endure that journey. God is SO good!😇

I just found your channel by accident. Not many people would allow the biological parent/parents to be a part of their family....but how awesome is this. Whatever the reason is for why he was adopted, it's wonderful that you all allow this relationship to continue.

They should allow it regardless. Kids are not accessories. They are another human being who deserves to be around their entire biological family.

@@gigiitsme7236true, but the biological family doesn't always deserve to be around them, which is sometimes why children are removed from their bio family. In this case, it's safe and the bio mom clearly has a lot of love and care for Abe, but unfortunately that's not always the case.

I think Abe's biological mom did what she thought was best for her son. Yes it broke her heart. But that precious little boy is happy and kudos to the adoptive mom for keeping this as an open adoption. His biological mom will ALWAYS be a part of his life. When Abe gets older, I do believe he will understand...that he has many people in his life that LOVE him unconditionally. He is one lucky little fella. ❤

You guys are fantastic parents, Abe is a great kid which just shows how well you’re doing. This is the first time I’ve ever seen or even heard of “open-adoption” I’m glad it’s working out so well. Also Ashley you and Abe have identical smiles!!!! He’s definitely mirroring his mama!

For anyone wondering why Mama Kayla found adoptive parents for Abriel… they’ve chosen to keep that answer private. There are many potential reasons, but I can offer up some that applied to why I found adoptive parents for the baby I had. 1) I never wanted to be a mom. 2) I had depression that worsened with the pregnancy and could barely take care of myself, never mind feeding and changing a baby constantly. 3) The pregnancy was a result of a guy stealing my virginity/it didn’t happen with someone I loved. 4) I have a very small support system/“village” to help with a baby (family is scattered throughout several states, I go to a tiny church of 15 people, and I would never accept any free help from my mom due to abuse from her when I was younger.)
I am just in awe. I just hope after spending a lot on the kids the birth mother will not take him away or convince him about her relationship with her... this can only be done in the country like yours. Not in Africa.
Or trying to pass her responsibilities to another because she doesnt have enough now, omly to claim him whenever she feels like. I may be wrong.

In a case like this, he will never grow UP to resent his birth mother, he will always know he is loved on both side of his family. He will never have to search for his birth mother and siblings. Life can be difficult for mothers raising children alone. No matter what choice a parent makes when it comes to their children, there is always one to judge their decisions. Thanks to the parents on both sides for creating such a village for him. This is how the world should be. I would like to take all the people with such good hearts to a place of peace. This world is so disfunctional.

I seen a short of when your hubby found out you were pregnant and i had to watch your channel. i am absolutely in love with your family! i think its so beautiful that you are keeping the promise you made to his mom and siblings. you are literally the kindest person i have ever seen especially on TH-cam. My daughter was adopted at 6 years old after i lost everything pretty much it was a bad time in life and she did not keep any of her promises and i regret it so much. she is 15 now and in a home for troubled youth in a different state because she was sneaking out and stuff.

This does make me happy that he gets to see her so often. I don’t agree with a LOT about domestic for profit adoption but you are doing this part right, at the very least. He so deserves this relationship with his mama and sissy. I see that most adoptive families just don’t do this and once they have their child adopted, forget about the birth mom. Please don’t ever forget her
Lots of birth moms aren’t responsible and shouldn’t be able to see their kids. Or they just don’t want to. But I agree this is a good situation. It’s nice when the mom knows that she isn’t able to care for her kid alone but still wants to have a relationship with him.
I commend this couple but I hope it doesn’t encourage people to source the work of parenting out because they know they could still be connected to their child.
