That was a really fun watch. I especially enjoyed the opening, setting that tone where it shows how invested you are, and how you don't back down. Very much a rising Phoenix video
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
Big word, I can't remember seen anyone else go as deep into grip fighting and strategy outside straight forward technique. The grip really is such a key thing to success.
World class all around grappler-martial artist-no one worked or works harder that him-his work ethic & perfecting his drills are the keys to his success. Not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. Jimmy Sr & Jim Jr are the best at developing world class grapplers. Now Travis is part of the Pedro’s system. He runs the work outs. It’s hard to gauge the work Ethic of Jim jr to Travis. I was there for Jimmy Jr on his Olympic journeys. Also there while Travis was seeking Olympic & world medals. No one easy match on those mats !
Yeah I've been a huge fan for ages. I stopped making videos around the time he won the silver medal at the Olympics and always wanted to make a video. Glad I did.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this highlight reel has more on the tatami wrestling than I've seen in years of watching judo highlights. It's also really impressive how Stevens just makes the ippon seoi nage happen, want it or not. Everyone knows it's what he does, but it still happens.

My coach told me a story about Travis. Everyone knows he’s a world class judoka player. Extremely dangerous. But he told me when Travis first got into BJJ, it took literally maybe a year at the most to earn his BJJ black belt lol
Ole literally punched Travis in the face and cut him over the eye, and then he broke his nose later on. Pretty dirty Judo (old school respect). He was also on defense the entire time, while Travis was attacking the whole match. The side refs also raised their flags after seeing what the main ref did. Theory is it was all Euro refs and they gave it to the German.
Ole kept giving him cheapshots and was on defense the whole time, Travis was on offense the entire time. The refs made a bad call and gave the match to Bischoff. They didn't even raise their flags correctly as they are supposed to do it at the same time. But the side judges waited until the head ref raised his first to see who to pick.
This is amazing! I can't thank you enough!

What’s even better are his teaching videos, he goes into depth and really tries to spread his techniques without holding back. Awesome athlete!

With his Judo - BJJ black belts, and the agressive Alpha male fighting style, Travis Stevens is my grappling idol.
so true

Yeah as soon as he gets that lapel and inside footwork you’re showing him your boarding pass 😅😅😅
It's the same for everyone on the circuit.
Everybody knows your top technique and your 3-5 favorite techniques and you know theirs.
American style has a big focus on ne Waza
One of my favorite judokas, I still watch his educational videos everytime on judofanatics.
Once Travis gets you to the ground, It's a wrap! Judo & Jiu-Jitsu, Together = Perfection!
To be fair......its all Judo.

the guy is the definition of grit. His body was already quite banged up in prep for the 2016 olympics where he won silver
I enjoyed this!
Wow, his timing is incredible!

These armbars he gets from everywhere are insane
Goddamn. Travis Stevens is inspirational.
Wow. What a beast. Awesome.
That flying Omoplata. Insane!
The Great Warrior of Judo!
okay but he just legit caught a flying omoplata at 3:32
Absolute BEAST
What did the blue flag mean on the first match? Looked like Travis had the score ?
Lovely Judo there!
Beautiful... just beautiful
That leg sweep around time 2:08 was NASTY, I hope that guy never saw it on replay, it looked so easy that you would be absolutely irate at yourself!
What’s the name of the song please?
Travis is a beast of a fighter
hey can you do one for before 2013 aswell iam a huge fan
He is the top Kumi-Kata in US .
beast
Judo guys are soo good at armbars
Can someone explain the beef at the beginning?

If you are in this situation, a prudent person would defend and do everything to win!
Wow, i cant believe how much of Koga I saw there.
Probably a bit of inspiration there
Awesome judoka
Is travis competing in Tokyo this year? Hes what inspired me to go train every day
Travis has long since retired. He's old and fat now (here's hoping he reads this comment haha)
What weight is he?
Is he under 90kg
He competed at 81

"There is alot of Judo in his Judo game". Fixed it for you.
I like the real judo but sport Judo gets a big no in my book. I do like it when they do more ground work. But throws look sloppy to me.
